1HEALTH PROGRAMMES
Part A:
For the employees working in the workplace, proper fitness is essential to ensure that they do not suffer from health issues. Therefore, for the
management of the workplaces, it is essential to identify the health issues that can result in increase of absentee among these employees. The
health survey conducted among the employees of Le Delbrock helped in assessing that most of the employees of the company are suffering from
the issues of obesity and stress. The first problem that is obesity is a problem which results due to heavy weight among the employees. This is
one of the most impactful issues for the workers because, the obese people mostly suffer energy losses and also face risks of health issues such
as cardiac arrests and other cardiovascular diseases1. This occurs mainly due to eating junk food in the office canteens or at other times. These
employees fail to provide their best performances despite of having relevant skills. This is mainly because of lack of energy that they need to
have to work with perfection. The health data of the Government of Australia show that in the year 2017-2018, it has been found that about 67%
adults of the country are suffering from problems of obesity or overweight2. The second health problem that has been identified is stress. This is
one of the most common health problems among the professionals. This occurs mainly due to high pressure in the workplace and due to low
work life balance. Stress results in low productivity and loss of motivation for quality performances in the respective activities. This problem

also results in hypertension among the employees which impact on their productivity at the workplace3. A report highlighted that about 31%
corporate of the country are suffering from workplace stress which is impacting on their job performances4.
The impact of these health issues is relative of the negative aspects. This is because; these health problems can result in increase of absentee
among the employees along with lowering their work productivity. Further, due to loss of motivation and continuous health problems, the skilled
and experience employees also resign from the company.
This brings in negative impact in attaining the objectives of the business. The main reasons for the negative issue are in the form of the
challenges that can arise for the management on managing the deadlines and quality of the tasks. If sufficient numbers of human resources are
not present at a time, then this can result in failure to meet with the business objectives within time.
Therefore, for Le Delbrock, the problems are prevalent and if proper health programmes are not arranged for the employees then this may not be
helpful for achieving the business objectives of the company.
Part B:
The identified health issues are required to be addressed so that the employees become aware of the preventive measures they need to implement
to make themselves healthy and fit for giving high quality performances. These issues can be addressed with the help of introducing the
Counselling seasons thorough which the problems of each of the employees can be identified and further suggestions can be given on making

them aware about the consequences about those healthy problems. Along with this, health awareness programmes can be also essential as this
can help in addressing the health issues of the employees along with encouraging them to participate in the health improvement programmes.
The personal training classes can be highly effective and for attracting the employees in these programmes, it will be essential to conduct health
campaigns in the organizations. The health campaign should be conducted by professionals who have relative knowledge about the health issues
and thus, they will be able to develop strategies which can make these employees aware of the prevention that they would require to implement 5.
These health campaigns need to have some objectives which can help the professionals to understand the processed by which the employees can
be attracted to these programmes. The contribution can be also given from the part of the canteen on offering health food and drinks for the
employees at a lower price that the junk foods.
Part C:
In the process of helping the organization to support health awareness among its employees, proper planning should be made on developing the
health awareness programmes6. The objectives of these programmes are:

Part D:
To,
The Senior Manager
Le Delbrock
Subject: Proposal about the Employee Assistance Programmes
Sir,
I would like to gain your attention about the issues of health related problems of the employees of your organization. In recent years, due to high
workplace pressure and intention of the employee on having junk food, health issues such as obesity and stress have increased significantly. This
is also having impact on the performances of these employees and the number of absentee is also increasing gradually. Therefore, it will be
essential to conduct some health awareness programmes for these employees so that they can be encouraged to keep themselves health and fit.
This will also help them to overcome the challenges regarding motivation and commitment in the workplace. Moreover, it is understandable that

due to the low performances of the employees, it is difficult for you to achieve the business objectives in time. Therefore, if proper health
awareness programmes can be executed, then the problems of the employees as well as for the company can be solved effectively.
In this program, first of all, I would be arranging a counselling session for the employees through which it will be possible to identify their health
issues. Secondly, a health awareness campaign will be conducted which will stress on the importance of joining the health and fitness problems.
In this campaign, marketing will be conducted with the help of leaflets and by making a presentation which will discuss about the impact of the
health issues and benefits of joining thee programmes. Feedbacks will be taken from each employee after completing each of the sessions. The
evaluation will be made based on the improvement of health and by conducting a medical checkup after each session.
I hope to receive your support for making the program possible and to achieve the objectives of these programmes.
Thank You
Allan Roberts
