Overview of the programme
The chosen topic for the health promotion activity is encouraging the responsible
consumption of alcohol, in line with the health guidelines. Alcohol consumption has become one
of the important issues especially among the adolescents and the adults. Adolescents, especially
the college students are in the edge line who have more tendency to drink alcohol. If adolescents
start drinking at such a small age then they will acquire different diseases including the
malfunctioning of liver, kidney and the other digestive organs. This particular health issue has
been chosen as this is most important evolving problem of the adolescents. The most important
factor is the peer pressure. College going students mostly force the friends or the new students
who join the college to indulge into drinking alcohol (2). The targeted audience of the health
promotion are the adolescent students of the NSW region of Australia. Research studies show
that many health promotions are already done on the reduction of the consumption of alcohol,
the results of those promotion activities show that some of the health promotion has positive
effects on the audiences while most of the audiences just came to visit the promotion activities
(1). Some people listening to the promotion activities gets benefitted from the promotion while
the rest just take the harmful effects of the alcohol to the human body casually. The health
promotion activity continued for 5 weeks.
Programme logic model
‘Be healthy – Reduce alcohol’
The aim of this health promotion is to make the adolescents aware about the responsible
consumption of alcohol. The objectives are:

To involve the adolescents of the specific NSW region in Australia to be aware about the
consumption of the drinking alcohol.
To use the knowledge of the best available resources and from the researches done till
now in order to do the health promotion.
To make the appropriate plan and the plan which is also sustainable for making the health
promotion effective.
The outcomes of this health promotion are that the adolescents become concerned about the
permissive level of the consumption of alcohol and also that the adolescents may also
become more concerned about the associate health diseases which are bound to happen is the
level of the alcohol consumption increases (3). The activities, impact and the outcomes of the
health promotion are related, the objectives are set in such a way that targeted audience of the
health promotion becomes concerned and become conscious about the reduction of the
consumption of alcohol (4).
Evaluation plan
The evaluation questions regarding the process of the health promotion and about the
execution of the health promotion activities are:
A. How is the programme implemented?
B. Whether the implementation was done according to the plan or not?
C. Whether the programme are reaching the target group or not?
D. Are the participants satisfied with the programme or not?
The health programme is about the reduction in the consumption of alcohol and the targeted
audience were the adolescents of the specific region of the country. The programme was planned
