Introduction
This report is focused on the overall health promotion program for the preschool age
group in terms of their physical development, Cognitive development, emotional development as
well as social development. This health promotion program is also focused on health as well as
disease and injury free environment for the preschool age group.
Physical Development
This health promotion program will focus on physical growth of the children in terms of
height, muscle tone and weight because physical growth is considered as one of the most
important aspects which are essential for the healthy future of the child (Carson et al., 2016). In
addition to this, this promotion program will help in building thinking abilities, physical strength
and positivity in early age so that in future the children may not suffer any kind of issue related
to their mind perception as well as their body buildup. Activities in this program such as running,
climbing up and down on steps will help in building problem-solving ability, increase learning
capability which will help the children in future to solve their problem independent, acquire new
skills and keep a positive attitude for life (Christian et al., 2015). In future children may have to
face many problems related to their personal as well as professional life and in such a situation
being positive in life will help them in easily solve their issues. Milestones are feeling easy in
running, climbing up and down and washing hands.
Cognitive Development
This health promotion program will focus on conceptual thinking, perceptual skills,
ability of language learning and brain development ability. In future children has to go through
various numbers of decision which can have positive as well as a negative impact on their life. In
this situation, children must be aware of their consequence of their taken decisions (Hellendoorn
et al., 2015). This program will help in developing mind capability in terms of thinking, process
collected information at early age. This will help the children to first analyze the available
resource and then arrange the resource in a positive direction in order to bring overall efficiency
in their future decision. Activities like playing with doll and toys which help in increasing the
mental capability of children which is essential for their overall future growth. Positive mind
setup is always considered the successful tool in the hands of the individual which they can

utilize for improving their overall personality in the society (Decety, Meidenbauer & Cowell,
2018). Milestones are started believing in toys, understand time and countering part, starts to
play with puzzle and count numbers.
Emotional Development
This program will focus on behavioural expression and relationship building abilities. In
the future, children have to go through various life experience in which behavioural expression is
considered as one of the most important aspects that connect the person with the other person
through relationship or bond. In this situation, a little miss match of expression can bring
negative impression on other people which can destroy the relation (Hestenes et al., 2015). Also,
in future children must be able to form relations with others in order to bring association which
acts as an important part of enjoying the beauty of life. This promotion program will help in
creating emotional feelings both positive and negative as reaction in early age. In future, children
must be aware of the differences of behavioural expression which can fit the present situation in
order to avoid any discomfort in future due to expression mismatch (Flook et al., 2015). This
program will include activities which will help the children to build a strong relationship with
others and allow them to show their satisfaction and dissatisfaction with others. Milestones are
shown affection for friends, display concern when a friend cries and display a wide range of
emotions.
Social Development
This program will also focus on the impact of children interaction with others and display
of their behaviour. In the future, every individual has to become part of the society which they
exchange their learning, stories, relations and even their happiness (Peterson et al., 2016). In this
situation, children must be aware of how to form a strong social connection with the society from
their early age so that in future they can create their unique image in the society in terms of value
and personality. They must be aware of the concept giving back to people in a positive way
which is considered as the base of humanity. This program will help in developing a strong
positive relationship with others in the community in early age. As they grow up their relation
connection grows stronger with their age in the society which is important from both point of
