INTRODUCTION
Obesity the public health priority which is highly effective and have negative impact on
large population health. This is a complex disease which are evolving due to excessive amount of
body fat. It is not just a cosmetic concern but it can also have a medical problem that can
increase the risk of different type of health-related diseases like diabetes, heart disease, certain
cancer and high blood pressure. In this report, there is a discussion about the prevalence to public
health priority of obesity along with health promotion intervention. This can be highly effective
that can influence the public behavior. There is also discussion about the obesity health
promotion intervention with the help of relevant theory. There is also a discussion about the
health promotion intervention plan along with the methodological approach regarding obesity.
There is also discussion about the importance of assessing and evaluating client knowledge
which can be helpful to understand a individual behavior modification. This can be helpful in
health promotion intervention along with self-management. This report also includes application
of screening tool along with counselling and process-related with health behavior modification.
MAIN BODY
Obesity is A Complex health disease which can create due to consumption of body fat.
This can create various health related diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack and
certain type of cancer. This can be infected due to physical inactivity and exercise.
Within United Kingdom, there are large population who are suffering from obesity within the
young people that can have a negative impact and have a risk of different disease which should
be prevented and can be minimized to improve the public health within country. Obesity is the
public health concern within United Kingdom where 28% of adults are obese and about 36% of
individual are overweight. It can be found that there are men who are most likely then women to
be always which includes 68% of men and 60% of women (Chandler and et. al., (2017)).
There are various reason of leaving class of obesity in which one of the main cause is
consuming large amount of calories. Due to taking large amount of calories than the required and
to create difficulty and combination of fat within individual body which can lead to create the
obesity. This is a public health concern and should we minimize or decrease through using
different intervention.

There are many techniques to deliver health promotion intervention that can be effective
and may include awareness regarding obesity within people. There is need to improve in the
public health in India government need to create an intervention which can include a healthcare
promotion regarding obesity. This is one of the most effective interventions to reduce the cases
of increasing obesity within people. Creating awareness regarding obesity is highly effective
(Sorgente (2017)). This may influence the young group to ensure about the cause and risk of
obesity which can be noticed and should be prevented by using appropriate method and
technique. Promotion program can be highly effective and should able to influence and have a
large number of population to get about the consequences related with obesity which may
include different health related issues.
Psychological theory is highly effective in providing promotion-related with the
intervention of obesity. This is the one in which there is consideration of people within context
of living. This can influence social and culture along with the physiological and physical
environment. This is the one in which through creating promotion individual psychology can be
affected and which can have a higher impact in change in individual behavior. This can be
regarding intake of dietary and maintaining healthy body weight through the psychological
approach. This can be effective and can have a high influence on the individual behaviour
regarding intake of calories and ensuring about better healthy weight.
It is important to assessing and evaluate client knowledge which can be highly effective
by creating awareness regarding obesity. This is a disease and can allow individual to change
their behaviour and modify their planning regarding health. This can influence individual
behaviour to take care of their better health and maintaining effective body weight. In this, there
is need for another prevention strategy which may include intake of healthy food which can
allow large population to change their behaviour and ensure about conjunction of healthy food
which can be fibrous and have better protein (Bradburyv (2018)).
Enhancing physical activity and exercise is also an effective health promotion
intervention. This can influence individual behaviour and should focus on better health and body
weight. This is effective and can provide better influence to individual behavior regarding health
and for achieving healthy body weight.

Self management is also effective and can allow individual behaviour to modified. This
can impact on maintaining effective body weight and decreasing risk of obesity within large
population.
BMI measurement through using height and body weight is highly recommended
screening test for obesity. This is specific and can be effective in calculating body mass index of
individual which can be allowed to compare the obesity within themselves. This is effective and
can influence large number of population to maintain their body weight. BMI is a screening tool
that is highly useful for identifying individuals overweight opacity and underweight (Bazzano
and et. al., (2018)). The counseling approach can be also highly effective and have a high
modification of individual behaviour. This can also help individuals to get information about the
healthy diet and maintain better physical health. Counseling approach can influence large
number of populations to change in their health behavior by adopting healthy dieting and
maintaining better physical health.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that obesity is a public health priority that
should be managed and decreased within the large population. Young people are getting
impacted through this, where health promotion can be highly effective by creating awareness
regarding obesity within the large population. In this report, there is a discussion about the
importance of assessing and evaluating client knowledge and understanding the importance of
individual behaviour change which can include plant self-management. There is also a
discussion about the appropriate application of screen include along with counselling approach
for modified individual health behaviour for better outcome.
