INTRODUCTION
Health promotion project has been the enabling of the process in more manner to increase the
level of control over the health issue and improve their health in more prominent way. this is
about the reaching of the state which have the completion of there physical, mental and social
well-being, an individual or group must be able to identify and to realize aspirations, to satisfy
needs, and to change or cope with the environment (Evans, Coutsaftiki and Fathers, 2017). In
this report, there will be clear discussion regarding the critical analysis of the local project The
Bellingham Food Co-op which have been set up to make the level of improvability a in term of
availability abs affordability of the fruits and vegetables to are which have the limited access to
the healthy food.
MAIN BODY
As per the local project which have been established in the Lewi sham is the place in there srea
of south east London as the main principal of London borough with high levels of deprivation,
inequalities and unemployment. Our population is relatively young, ethnically diverse and
significantly deprived. As the part of the commission level of responsibilities there are the need
to have the development of plans to have the improving f the health outcome of patients which
make the major level of inclusion of the-
Improvising the heath condition of the local people by more delivering the high-quality
outcomes of care services.
Reduction in the death numbers by tacking the health level of inequalities by making proper
level of improvements un management and treatment.
As in the local report, as the over view aspect there have been there company which leads the
operations from the St Augustine's Primary School with aim to have the supporting of the local
people with providing improvisation in the respective heath practices at the convenient points at
more affordable price. The aim of the report was quite respective which have the analyzing of all
factors which is importune to be the part of health promotion activity in significant way.
But o the other hand, the Lewis ham have the several other issues in which is the tacking the
level of inequalities in the management and treatment have been ignored.
As per the level of deprivation statics in the Lewis ham have been broken doe in the different
domains which is more to be simplify into the categories as each category have been scored
which is been described as using of there percentage weighing there categories (Lambeth, 2018).

The catagenesis have bene followed as such as per the ranking which is stating as the Income
Deprivation (22.5%)
Employment Deprivation (22.5%)
Education, Skills and Training Deprivation (13.5%)
Health Deprivation and Disability (13.5%)
Crime (9.3%)
Barriers to Housing and Services (9.3%)
Living Environment Deprivation (9.3%).
In more to be noticed as it can be clearly supporting the statement as their meth large level of
population that’s is stating around the 42% have the 19 years old who have not deal with level 3
qualifications. In addition to which the about the 60% of amount mentioned have the
achievement of the grades which is in between their 9-4 in the term of English and math.
As the grid have shown that the Lewis ham have been performing their key level of poverty and
inequality indicators as comparative r the 32 London boroughs and the city of London (Czamara
and et.al., 2016). The major level of issues which is been based by the NHS is the high
population level of turnovers as almost all around the 20% of the people have succeed to move in
the out the as the put the greater demand of the heath care in order to make the delivery of
services which is screening the immunization which more challenging.
So the repot have the mainly targets the other issues by identifying there having high levels of
deprivation, unemployment, poor health, teenage pregnancy and low levels of educational
attainment and technical skills. It is within the top 10% of most deprived wards in the country.
As per the planning of the heath programmed and promotion the local project has the
development with the use of the Sage Educational Trust which is successful in providing the
more level of family support in terms of the filmily learning and supporting the propel with
heathier food in perfect manner (Chang, Netherton and Blackshaw, 2019). the strength of the
project is as per there Policy drivers behind the project were the Childhood Obesity Strategy,
Lewis ham PCT Food Strategy Group and the 5 a day programmed.
Hence. it is about the supporting element of the project as their age have the priority area is
about the heath. The age has the supportive level of bases by taking there feedback form the
children by putting the level of charity have funding the various level of initiatives which is
aimed at getting the children in order to became more actives and healthy.

As the approach the to have the examine all the stage of the borough the three is the local level
of assessment which have the highlighted the demand for a food co-op locally and also helped
Sage identify what products the food co-op should be selling.
Approach
Approach for this project was questionnaire. In this project questionnaire need
assessment was carried out in local school with parents and as part of Bellingham festival day.
Questionnaire is an appropriate approach because it allows for collecting personalized opinion
and perceptions of all those people who take participation in questionnaire. Time saving and cost
saving are other benefits of this approach (Browne-Yung and et.al., 2018). But one of limitation
associated with this is that this problem was critical and this can be better understood through
one to one and personal interview. Personal interview with all these people is difficult and hence
approach of group interview was also a suitable option regarding the approach for this project.
From the questionnaire it was found that there is a demand for a food-cooperative and
this also was found from this what these cooperatives should be selling. After this Sage set up
two weekly food stalls in the neighborhood this was hosted by a primary school. Along with this
local older people’s housing project and a series of healthy eating session involving parents and
children were also organized. This was a part of family support project and to link other work
streams to buywell project. This is a important step which was taken by Sage as they started
weekly food stalls and this seems to solve the problem of local people related to availability of
the fruit and vegetable. But this only remains limited to fruits and vegetables and all other
nutrients were ignored in this. There are several other nutrients which are required for health and
they are more important for children and these all were ignored.
Fruit and vegetable stalls were set up by extended school coordinator of sage and they are
now run and maintained by volunteers (Larsen-Cooper and et.al., 2016). In this advice is
provided by community based nutritionist and family support workers. This is right that there are
people to give advice and support to the people but one thing in this can be that people in the
community become aware and start helping and supporting those who are in need. This will
strengthen awareness in community regarding health. Nutritionists are there to help whenever
community people require help in support. This will improve awareness in community if they are
motivated to help each other and also if they ask for help from someone in community.
Community can help each other and once they have started the Buywell project Sage should look
5

for people in community who can maintain this project. This will strengthen and develop
community and their practices regarding health and they will be able to access fruit and
vegetables by their own. This will also contribute in developing and improving economic
condition of the people in the community as they will get new means to earn and improve their
economic condition (Schaltz-Buchholzer and et.al., 2019). Regarding Buywell project officer it
can be said that they can always help whenever people in the community require their help. This
is here important as otherwise people in the community will always remain dependant on Sage
and Buywell project.
Outcome
Outcome of this project were;
Locally increased funding for nutrition activity project
Regular stalls were being held successfully
Voluntary activities got increased
These outcomes are good as this improved availability of the fruit and vegetables and funding
also increased. But this project was for health improvement and this was not included in
outcome. Sage can do that by health checkups for children (Czamara and et.al., 2016). This
needs to be given importance because ultimate objective for doing this is health of the local
people.
Some of the anticipated outcomes by Sage were;
Increase in amount of consumption of fruit and vegetable by those who are participating in
project. Increase in knowledge and skills of younger people regarding nutritional issues etc.
Outcomes of the project were favorable as existing consumers of the stalls were
enthusiastic and were taking interest in other activities which are related to nutrition. Such factor
means that Sage initiative was a success. Sage was regularly working for sustainability by
motivating volunteers to manage and run stalls. Other than school they were involved for project
additional school expressed their interest in healthy tuck shop and this proves that efforts of Sage
were successful and outcomes of this are as they were expected to be.
Evaluation
Because of the relative operations of the project it was new and this is why only basic
monitoring was carried out (Bell and Aggleton, 2016). The cooperatives which were set up by
Sage have 25 users per week those who buy fresh fruits and vegetables for their families. Though
6
Document Page
initially this number is good yet this is not impressive as 25 users buying fruits and vegetables
are very limited. In this Sage can increase users because of their health benefits.
Regarding evaluation main challenge was to carry out both together managing
monitoring requirements and at the same time encouraging people to buy fruits and vegetables.
This is because sometimes people were not ready to share information like age of their children
and their postcode. Sage is currently looking at the feasibility of a reward card scheme to collect
information about people when they first buy from Stall. Other than this they have to build
confidence in customers and users of the project and stall so that they are ready to provide their
information assuring them this will not be used in any inappropriate manner.
Recommendation
The recommendations are that parents of the children in deprived area should be
encouraged as integral part of the school policy. Along with this it can be recommended that
school policy should involve what are the benefits of healthy eating while teaching so that they
can be made aware from their younger age about healthy food (Jongen, McCalman and
Bainbridge, 2017). This will contribute in long term success of the project.
One of the recommendation is this is that families living in deprived area faces several other
problems hence Sage should focus on overall quality of life other than health. This can be said
that along with health.
CONCLUSION
Rom the above report, it can be concluded that Health promotion project the process to level of
control over the health issue and improve their health in more prominent way. The Bellingham
Food Co-op which have been set up to make the level of improvability a in term of availability
abs affordability of the fruits and vegetables (Reis and et.al., 2019). The Lewis ham have the
several other issues in which is the tacking the level of inequalities in the management and
treatment. The NHS is the high population level of turnovers as almost all around the 20% of the
people have succeed to move in the out the as the put the greater demand of the heath care
