INTRODUCTION
▪ Family relationships are defined as the combination of filiation or conjugal relationships which
is based on two people who used to join directly or through a third party.
▪ This, a case study that is focused on Nigeria where Ronke Shonde a banker and mother of two
children, was beaten to death by her husband named Lekan Shonde in Lagos. Whereas, this is
identified that domestic violence is committed now a day.
▪ Media in Nigeria is replete with stories that are based on gender-based violence at home or in
the street which have many septs with the gory ending (Chukwuma and et. al., (2020).

BACKGROUND
▪ As per this, the pandemic situation has been found that they are associated with the
advancement in the medical field. As per the situation of quarantine, it is helpful to reduce the
spread of coronavirus within communities but is playing a negative role in the psychological
and social consequences.
▪ Moreover, this is also called a quarantine paradox. The case of domestic violence in Nigeria is
rising about 13 per cent and reported up to 10 per cent.

NEEDS
▪ The target group which is selected in this report is youth who is married. As per this, due the
some of unethical factor the condition of domestic violence and sexual violence is initiated and
create the complex situation.
▪ As per the present time, the youth are actively involve with this and they used to create the
situations of sexual and domestic violence. The partner do not understand themselves and due
the minor error they create violence on others.
▪ In this, the well-being, physical and mental peace of the individual is completely affected and
the relationship become chaos.

AIM
▪ The main aim of the study is to understand the concept of relationship and domestic violence
and sexual violence. In this, the strategies and some of the action plan which is beneficial to
reduce the cases of domestic violence and sexual violence.
▪ This all are implemented after evaluating the factor which is based on the trigger of domestic
violence and sexual violence.

IMPLEMENTATION
▪ This is incorporated with the five key actions which are helpful to develop health promotion in
which they focus on the implementation of healthy public policy, create a supportive
environment for health, strengthen community action for health, develop personal skills and re-
orient health services and three basic HP strategies which have to enable mediate and advocate
(Nigerian women say ‘no’ to gender-based violence, (2021).
▪ This allows to create a piece of information to reduce the risk domestic violence by using
Ottawa Charter health promotion some the key component which is established with the help to
this health promotion is mentioned below:

▪ Teaching safe and healthy relationship skills: To prevent the condition or situations which is
associated with domestic and sexual abuse or violence by promoting a healthy lifestyle. Provide
them education regarding safe and healthy relationship skills. In this, provide them knowledge
regards with a healthy and happy lifestyle by understanding their partner.
▪ Engaging influential adults and peers: This is also a beneficial approach because domestic and
sexual violence is an issue of the present time which must cope with stress and various factor
while engaging adults is beneficial to reduce the impact by proving education for the standard
and quality of life.

▪ Creating a protective environment: The positive environment helps to develop healthy life
because this is beneficial to create well-being and resilience, so, this is helpful to create the
protective environment and positive environment to live life more happily.
▪ Strengthening economic support for families: Sometimes, the impact of poverty and lack of
economic support can create the stage for domestic violence and sexual violence. As per this, it
is essential to provide strength for their economic support which helps to reduce the impact of
domestic and sexual violence (Tackling Violence Against Women: A Study of State Intervention
Measures, 2020).

▪ This strategies is focus on the total aspect to develop the resilience by creating the
understanding towards the healthy life.
▪ They also promote a healthy environment which show positive attribute which can restrict the
development of chaos which can create the condition of violence. The strategies used to focus
on the all over development of society and social group.
▪ While, taking the aspect of target group they are majorly involve with this so they understand
the condition and situations and mitigate the situation which can harm physical, emotional and
well being (The Shadow Pandemic: Violence against women during COVID-19, 2020).

▪ As per the strategies this is evaluated that it take a long time to create the education and share
the information because the identification of the causes and then creating the campaign is useful
to make a onset.
▪ Moreover, it take up to 6 month to 12 month.

▪ As per the above discussion, this is analyse that the domestic and sexual violence is the major
cause which can render the conditions of well being and emotional resilience.
▪ Moreover, there are some of strategies which is mentioned above is helpful to reduce the impact
of violence in the selected target group.
