INTRODUCTION
The concept of health as well as safety generally covers the legal requirements which
usually falls under the well-being and safety Act 1974 in an organization. These terms are
usually used to illustrates the occupational well-being as well as safety and it can also relates
to the prevention of the accidents as well as the ill health to the workers as well as those
workers who are generally influenced by their work. In this report it will cover the various
regulations and the roles as well as responsibilities which are required for health and safety in
a business (Geldart and et. al., 2018).
MAIN BODY
In the concept of health and safety Act in an organization, the managers must protect
the worker’s health and safety at a workplace. Every worker’s working in an organization
must be protected. The managers must provides give a specific safe place to work, safe
system as well as safe apparatus and the machinery. The legal regulations in the management
of health and safety at workplace 1999 generally requires the managers to ensure the
developing risks of health and safety of the workers as well as to carry out the risk
assessment to protect the workers from the exposure to reasonably foreseeable risks. In a
workplace risk includes such as work-related violence. In addition to this, a risk assessment is
an inspection which is mainly to analyse what type of harms can exists in an organization,
establish the significance of the risk. In a workplace the risk assessment generally identifies
as well as implement the prevention and can be able to control the measures. In the
regulations of an organization, the managers produce a clear management plan of action as
they are only the integral part of maintaining the health and safety issues and are responsible
for providing as well as implementing the policies so as to meet the organization’s objectives
as well as ensuring the safety of the workers. According to the legislation of management of
the health and safety at work Act 1999 generally states that the managers must make
preparations to assure about the health and safety of the organization such as making
preparations for the emergency. In this, the managers must give a suitable material and the
exercises for the workers about their safety as well as risks in an organization (Pariona‐
Cabrera, Cavanagh and Bartram, 2020).
In contrast with the roles and responsibilities, it is a manager’s prime duty to protect
the well-being, safety as well as the welfare of their workers and the other people also who
are at risk. The managers must do the things which is necessary to achieve such goals. The
managers involve the duties under the health and safety law so as to assess the risk of any
hazard in an organization. In addition to this, the risk assessments must be carried out which
generally addresses all the risks which might cause the harms in an organization. Its
responsibilities include that manager must provide the information about the risks in the
organization. They also train or instruct the workers about how to deal with such risk hazards.
Another responsibility of the managers involves that they must communicate or consult the
workers about the health and the safety problems from which the workers are going through.
This communication or consultation is either direct or it can generally through a safety
representative which is selected by the organization. Moreover, the other requirements for a
healthy as well as safe workplace includes that the managers ensure about the safety of the
organization, they must prevent their workers from various risks occurring at workplace as

well as construct the strategies to deal with the risk. The managers must ensure about the safe
working practices are constructed as well as followed at workplace (Tuckey, Zadow, Li and
Caponecchia, 2021.).
CONCLUSION
In an organization, there are health and safety laws which are generally apply among
all so as to ensure the safety of the workers. These health and safety laws are usually
implemented for the workers so that they can stay protected from any hazards that usually
occurs in an organization. It is concluded from the above report that the work health and
safety generally promote as well as works so as to assure about the prevention from the
accidents which happens in the workplace environment. It is also concluded from the above
report that in an organization, the work health and safety are quite essential as it can
effectively saves the time as well as enhances the productivity of an organization.
