1. Research topic – Introduction
There is different form of the regulations which is basically required to be
followed by the road haulage drivers in turn effective type of practices can be exerted.
RHD need to pay attention on various health and safety rules as their actions are
concerned with transportation of heavy goods that can create various form of the risk. In
this industry there are various form of the regulation which is required to be taken into
the consideration so that effective functioning is exerted by drivers via making propitiate
business decision through coordinating with imposed regulations.
Background of the study:
In the current era, there is higher requirement of focusing on compliance with the
rules and regulations related with health & safety as due to the heavy goods
transportations there are various chances of occurring accidents. With help of the rules
such as driving on left, stopping, parking, MSA, limits for vehicle loading, etc. allow the
drivers to avoid damage to their related components (Gaber and et.al., 2021). There is
basically death of 1516 people in the year 2020 which is showing the declining of the
accidents as compared to the previous years (Reported road casualties Great Britain,
annual report, 2020). The current situation is presenting that there is 100% of the safety
& security is provided in sector which reflects positive condition for the drivers in UK.
On the basis of the basis of the above chart the declination trend in death can be
seen which is depicting the favorable sign for road haulage drivers.

Significance of the topic:
Health & safety regulation play significant role in influencing the business
decision-making such as limits of loading, time of delivery, etc. that indicate its higher
significance to taken into consideration.
In this research the role of health and safety regulations for Road Haulage
drivers' business decision-making will be focused for gaining depth understanding
accomplishing aim, objectives and research questions with help of secondary research.

In the views of McIlroy and et.al., (2019) health and safety is one of the important
regulation which provides guidelines for following crucial practice can be taken which
offers benefits like reduced risk, fewer accidents, etc. This is showing positive current
situation in particular sector by reducing threats of accidents. On the other side, Soliani
and Bueno (2022) depicted health and safety rules create negative impact on the
overall performance by create threat of life, barriers for easy proceedings, etc.

affect the particular regulations such as speed, traffic density, flow, driving behavior, etc.
that help in maintaining safety via taking creating precautions In contrast to this, Rodrigo
(2019) there is the negative impact as factors affecting comprises residuals & economic
zones, alcohol, drugs, vehicle & environmental condition, etc. which creates challenges
for maintaining safety.
As per the opinion of Jankovský and et.al., (2019) there are different form of
roles which is played by health & safety regulations that comprises reducing accidents,
pollution, avoiding distractions, etc. that is making current situation positive. In the
against of this, Singichetti and et.al. (2022) articulated that there is reliable functioning
of drivers as availability of the set of the practices for ensuring limits, benefits of
damage, etc. information can be obtained for having successful practicing, This all helps
in coordinating with the industry trend of rising price of fuel.

become possible It can help in gaining depth understanding regarding significance of
health & safety regulations that can help in achieving ability to identify corrective
practice to take right business decision (Oakey and et.al., 2022). It is important for the
industry to ensure that effective compliance with these laws & regulations is done to
