INTRODUCTION
Quality management in health and social care is an important process of analysing the
performance of care service in UK. It helps healthcare organization to maintain and provides the
effectiveness care services in the healthcare organization. Quality management of healthcare
reduced the medical error, increasing the effective care to the public and improving the
outcomes of the healthcare organization in the UK. Health service organization satisfy the needs
of the patient and provides them good quality care. The quality care is an important factor which
increases the satisfaction among the public towards the healthcare services. The impact of poor
healthcare services on public health increases the chances of other health issues which can also
effects te healthcare organization. Poor quality service in an organization does not identify the
needs of public health and failed to meet the standard quality and organization reputation
decreased across the UK healthcare organization. Additionally, This project includes the
perspectives of health and social care, strategies for achieving quality in health and social
services and efficacy of system, procedures and policies. Lastly, methods used for evaluating
quality of services in healthcare (Carino and et. al., 2020).

Measure the impact of poor quality and standards on health and social care
Poor quality care impacts on public health which is including long-term disability,
unnecessary treatment and unsafe clinical facilities. Poor quality care damages the healthcare
organization reputation due to conflict in decision making towards the patient services and
inappropriate patient treatment leads to many other health issues to the patient. Poor quality
services of any organization leads to decline in patient and also in some situation, patients leads
to cause death due to unavailable of facilities , equipment and medicines. Organization also
responsible for patient health because due to inadequate environment and factors patient leads to
cause the other health issues which increases the chance of patient illness and other infectious
diseases. Due to lack of training and expertise patient loss the chance of improving their health
condition. Health care management should not aware about the acquired infection which spread
among the patient and leads to causing the disease. Poor quality impact on the public health as
well as on the health organization reputation(Stinear and et.al., 2020).

The healthcare organization provides quality care, clinical effectiveness, safety and patient
positive outcomes. Different perspective on healthcare services which leads to various methods
of quality measurement. The goal of medical institution is to providing the better health services
and satisfy the patient medical needs which response to give the positive patient experience and
reputation of organization can place better in the public.
Identifying barriers to the delivery of quality in health and social care services
In healthcare system, there are many barrier which occurs resistant in delivery the quality
services to the patient due to poor communication between the organization and stakeholders and
lack of leadership. The barrier in healthcare organization includes the lack of staff training and
expertise and lack of support from the organization. Quality improvement is an essential part of
patient care, when poor quality delivering to the patient that is harmful for the patient health and
organization reputation. The barrier occurs because organization team should not aware about the
data and does not monitor the process of hospital activities which creates the barriers and does
not delivering the good quality services among the public health(Rémillard-Boilard, 2018). The
communication between the healthcare providers and patient is not meaningful and clear which
creates most conflict and issues with patient treatments and lead to causes the poor quality care
service. Lack of funds and services is also one of the barrier which occurs hindrance in
delivering the best quality care services. Due to inadequate environment and facilities healthcare
provider unable to deliver the high quality care to the patient.
Assess effectiveness of quality systems, policies and procedures in a health and social care
Organization should implement the different policies and procedures which includes the
diseases management programme and providing the healthcare incentives to the organization
stakeholders. Efficacy of system involves many relevant health and social care information
which helps care provider to update themselves with the guidelines and changes in healthcare
policies. The effective procedures and policies makes the best performance of an organization by
implementing the various effective approaches for improving the best quality care to the patient.
Quality health and social care organization ensures the quality care services and also helps in
reducing the cost care of medical facilities by implementing the procedures and policies. The
efficacy of system analysing the medical services which reduces the loss cost of an organization
and increases the patient satisfaction by providing the high quality care to the patient(O'Neil,
2019).
