INTRODUCTION
In the health and care organisation, patient requires an effective treatment and care so that
they can improve their health (Hughes and Ferrett, 2011). In the present report, barriers which
were faced by the health experts who treat the transgender has systematically been discussed. In
addition to this, ways by which care provider can treat such people has also been discussed. The
major objective of this report is to understand that how care experts can deal with transgender
people and solve their issues related to health.
ESSAY
Being a care professional in the health and care organisation I have various kind of the
roles and responsibility toward the hospital. I have been appointed to deal with the transgender
group of clients. They are those people who have a gender identify and their expression that
differ from their original sex. Sometime these kinds of people called transsexual if they require
medical assistance to transition from one gender to another. Being a care provider of these kinds
of people, I am required to analyse myself and improve my performance so that I can effectively
deal with them. Such kind of people requires special treatment and attention because they feel
very uncomfortable while anyone does not behave properly with them. While I deal with such
people in the health and care organisation, various kinds of the barriers, I have faced which
create issue related to delivering care access and good care experience to them. Culture is one of
the barrier which I faced at the time of delivering services to the transgender patients. Society
does not accept such kind of people so it is very difficult to understand their culture and
background. Another barrier is related to their behaviours, attitude, feelings, emotions. At the
time of delivering services and treatment of transgender people, I have faced the issue in relation
to their behaviour and nature. These kinds of people require special attention and treatment so I
was required to prepare myself in such manner so as I can effectively understand their feeling,
requirements and behaviour. At the time of delivering treatment and services to such kind of
people, firstly I have improved my communication skills. While I had dealt with them I used
very familiar language and words so that they can easily understand. With help of impressive
communication style, I can easily solve their queries and issue related to their care services. I
have established an effective policy for addressing discriminatory comment and behaviour in the
health and care organisation. I ensured that all staff in the office must receive transgender

cultural competency training so that they can effectively meet their requirement. In order to
provide the cultural safety to them within health and care organisation, I developed such kind of
practices and policies by which everyone can treat with the transgender people in an impressive
manner. I have strictly imposed such policies through which no one can discriminate with them
transgender people. I have also followed all rules, regulation, policies and practices by which I
can easily meet the requirement of homosexual people. In addition to this, in order to understand
the needs of the transgender, I have also attended the training and development program through
which I can learn the methods to deal with the transgender. In training sessions, I have
effectively learnt the various methods, ways and criteria by which I can meet the requirement of
the transgender people. In addition to this, I also developed an effective working environment at
the workplace so as transgender people cannot face the issue in the health and care organisation.
In order to deal with the homosexual people, I have adopted impressive value, beliefs, attitude
etc so that I can effectively provide an effective care and treatment to the transgender people.
Thus, I can say from the entire discussion that I have effectively contributed in order to provide
an effective care and treatment to the people who have gendered identify or gender expression
that differ from their original sex. Being the care professional in the health care organisation I am
the responsible person to take the quality care of the patients. Currently, I’m working towards the
treatment of the transgender group. It is kind of confidential matter and I need to take some
further care of the patients so they can relax and deals with this kind of their issues. I have faced
some issue during this process that after undergoing this treatment clients get irritated because
they used to take themselves different from others. I can understand their feeling why they
behave in such a way. To cope up with this I used to take initiative steps in relation to analyse
their needs so they can have pampered and friendly environment. The surrounding should be in
the positive way. I used to be frank with them so they can share their problem with me. I used to
behave like they are my family members and are not different in any manner from the others. I
realised that they have same feeling emotions and factor of the fear as normal people have. I
noticed that they are not having any issues with such matter but they are worried about the
society that they will think,. I used to opt positive attitude with them, for me they are like normal
patient and my basic aim towards them is to provide good care to them. I used to take so much
care while I talk to them I want to feel them as part of the family member. I want to make
comfortable in themselves. I used to take extra session of them in which I talk with them try to

influence their mind to have positive approach, guide them how to face people even during the
worse conditions. I though to have interaction with the office staff so that they should treat with
them like the normal people. There is no need to make them feel vulnerable. They hare the
human beings with same emotions, understand and a pure heart. All are equal in this world some
changes in the body cannot make themselves to feel discriminated from other. I love to talk with
them in the friendly manner. I used to listen their problem and try to find out the effective
solution which can work for them. I used to take them outside to the care area so they can meet
with the people can make themselves comfortable with the outside world. I used to make them
understand that there is no need to hide this kind of issue. I used to motivate them to be clam and
have smiled on their face. The world is full of mouths no one can stop talking bullshit just carry
yourself as the way you are. I used to develop the working environment friendly so I can treat
them in the well manner. The training and development session regarding this activity helps me a
lot to analyse their needs and extra care so they can live happily.
CONCLUSION
From this essay, it has been concluded that transgender people require an impressive care
and treatment by which they can resolve their health issues. At the time of treating with
transgender people, health care experts require focusing on cultural, emotional and personal
factor of the individual.
