Description
The K-means clustering technique is chosenhere to be applied in Northwell Healthcare
Organization. The K-mean clustering is used for data mining purpose and it is a popular method
for cluster analysis. K-means clustering will be applied to Northwell Healthcare to gather data
from various sources and doctors. This data will be then pre-processed for extracting patient’s
informationsuch as name, details, financial condition, disease and previous history (Dhotre et al.,
2015). The extracted data will be clustered according to patient’s need and then the data will be
represented in statistics form. The statistic form will help to know the current condition of the
patient and the treatment to be given to them. This process improves the overall complex
situation of keeping track of an individual’s condition. This process identifies the treatment to be
given to the patient according to their health condition.The healthcare management majorly
depends on documents and its management. The k-means clustering will help to manage the
documents of the Organization and helps to identify the issues. The K-means will be used for
documents clustering which will generate whole document collection clustering to classify the
documents according to various departments of the Organization (Shankar & Kumar, 2015). The
K-means clustering will be applied in the Organization using modules which include pre-
processing od documents, cluttering of documents, gateway and user interface. These modules
will work consecutively to classify and cluster the documents in the Organization for better
management and identification of issues. Therefore, the large data sets in Northwell Hospital will
be classified and clustered through this method.
