Healthcare services Research: Scope and Significance The above thesis statement describes about the research healthcare sector or system in United States, stating about the scope and significance. It includes clinicians, hospitals, and other health facilities, insurance plans, and providing healthcare services to the patients. For most of the Americans, healthcare is the strongest determinant of health, and having health insurance under an appropriate plan is a basic requirement. Thus, healthcare delivery system or healthcare system in United States refers to the organisation of people, institutions, and resources, which aim to deliver the health services to the populations, which are cost effective (Milevska et al., 2017). National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIH (National Institutes of Health) formed as the medical research agency of the country, and considered a part of the Department of Health and Human Services in U.S. aims towards making advancement for improving health of people. NIH has shown high performance as they have built up strong communication in the healthcare, proper education to the people, and access to the healthcare services, which leads to functional and positive results of transition process. Hospital at home is one such aspect, which states that the hospital services provided at home to the older adults who experience the problems of chronic conditions or diseases. Thus, they act effectively to transition the patients from one level of care to another in the healthcare continuum (Brown, 2018). Conclusion To conclude the above discussion it can be stated that the healthcare delivery system play a vital role in maintaining and improving the health of the individuals in U.S. The organisation is focused upon managing the healthcare resources and reduces the medical costs for their patient’s better health and wellbeing.
