Importance of Leadership Style towards Quality of Care Measures in Healthcare Settings: A Systematic Review

This systematic review explores the relationship between leadership styles and healthcare quality measures. The study found that leadership styles are strongly correlated with quality care and associated measures. Effective leadership of healthcare professionals is critical for strengthening quality and integration of care. The review identified six common leadership styles and found that transformational leadership style is most effective in creating relationships and motivation among staff members. Quality measures include structure, process, outcome, and patient satisfaction.
