International HIV/AIDS Alliance has indeed followed a directional strategy approach
aimed at eradication, prevention and management of global prevalence of HIV/AIDS. The 10
year alliance framework as adopted a top down approach to preventive healthcare, healthcare
promotion and healthcare functioning (Clinton and Sridhar 2017). While a top down approach
has traditionally continued to be one of the most commonly used and helpful strategies in
ensuring success in most healthcare organizational practices, adopting a bottom-up, or
decentralized approach would have yielded improved benefits in terms of funding allocation and
intervention implementation. Indeed, issues like ignorance of Middle Income Country (MIC)
issues and excessive emphasis on quantifiable results continue to prevail as challenges to health
implementation (Schneider et al. 2016).Adoption of decentralized approach, involving leaders of
both low as well as middle income countries to monitor their funding of HIV/AIDS preventive
processes would yield beneficial results. There is also a need to focus on additional inputs like
community engagement, local leadership and community health awareness to ensure better usage
of funding and resources from donors. Indeed, issues of sustainability, infrastructure and
financing are key challenges, for which, developed countries and international countries must
step forward to assist inflicted countries. continuous monitoring is also needed to ensure
adequate implementation of preventive processes at every step (Armstrong et al. 2018).
