Introduction
Tourism management is essential for the tourism industry and in that there will be the inclusion
of various aspects. This report will be including all of them such as the growth and development
in the tourism will be analyzed with the help of leaflet and an article will be presented in respect
of the conflicts which are faced in the process of heritage conservation. The requirement to make
the cultural attraction will be identified by which the needs of customers will be met. All of the
ownership types will be taken into consideration in which the manner they will be will affect the
management of the cultural places will be determined. The role which will be played by all the
organizations in this industry will have to be evaluated. All the methods and the media which
will be used by the tourism department will be discussed in the last section of this report.

1.1 Analyse the growth and development of the heritage and cultural industry
Introduction:
In this, the manner in
which the growth will be
attained by the tourism will
be taken into
consideration. The various
attractions and the sites
which are there will be
accounted for. There will
be the timeline which will
be representing all the
developments which took
place in this field.
The growth in this sector
has been experienced in
the past period and this has
been basically undertaken
in the business sector. This
was considered as the
business for the people by
whom they can attain a
large amount of profit.
There have been various
visits which were made
and in the starting, it was
for the religious purposes
(Timothy and Boyd, 2014).
There were various
organizations which were
developed in this sector in
the 20th century such as the
woodland and national
trust. There were
developments which were
observed and for that
various facility were
provided to the visitors
such as the packages were
provided in which they
were offered all the
facilities which are
required in any tour.
Various attractions were
established by which more
people are attracted such as
National Maritime
Museum, British Museum
and many more (Aitchison,
et. al., 2014). All of the
major developments which
took place in this industry
are as provided below:
1940: In this period there
were various changes
which were made in rules
and regulations by the
government so that the
expansion of the tourism
can be achieved. There
was need of the funds and
to meet it the council has
been established in which
arts and other activities
were enhanced
1946: The development
continued and the
organization was converted
into Arts council in Great
Britain in which was
development at large scale
and no intervention was
made by any political
party. The tourism sector
was experiencing the
growth under this.
The 1950s: There was
development at a fast pace
and all of the funds which

were required in this were
arranged in a proper
manner. For that, the
charity and other sources
were used and the tourism
sector used these for the
various purposes.
1965: There are the British
Museum and national
museum in which it is
needed that proper
management shall be
made. For that funds are
required and the
responsibility for same is
undertaken by the
Department for Education
and Science.
1980s: In the United
Kingdom there were
various programmes which
were launched by the
government so that more
tourists can be attracted.
Under this Museums were
developed and the
commission was formed
for this and also
sponsorship incentive
scheme was introduced.
1992: During this period
the expansion of the
Department of National
Heritage and Ministry was
made. This is the
department which
undertook various actions
by which heritage is
expanded and proper
management in this are
made.
2000: The visitors are
attracted by the arts in the
country and for the
development of tourism in
this section there was the
UK film council which
was developed.
2010: At this time people
were in the requirement of
the luxury tourism and for
that this was developed.
There were an introduction
and expansion of niche
market tourism.
Conclusion
From the information that
has been provided above, it
can be said that the
heritage and cultural sector
has developed and for that,
there are various
organizations which have
been developed. There was
an expansion which was
made and in that overall
growth of tourism took
place.
