Introduction
Tourism management is essential for the tourism industry and in that there will be the inclusion
of various aspects. This report will be including all of them such as the growth and development
in the tourism will be analyzed with the help of leaflet and an article will be presented in respect
of the conflicts which are faced in the process of heritage conservation. The requirement to make
the cultural attraction will be identified by which the needs of customers will be met. All of the
ownership types will be taken into consideration in which the manner they will be will affect the
management of the cultural places will be determined. The role which will be played by all the
organizations in this industry will have to be evaluated. All the methods and the media which
will be used by the tourism department will be discussed in the last section of this report.

has been experienced in
the past period and this has
been basically undertaken

There have been various
visits which were made
and in the starting, it was
for the religious purposes

There were various
organizations which were
developed in this sector in
the 20th century such as the

trust. There were
developments which were
observed and for that

In the tourism industry there is important of the culture and heritage and so it shall be taken into
consideration while making the expansion. By the help of this, there will be an increase in the
visitor’s attraction and it requires the undertaking of various projects. There will be the
development of the monuments and other attractions which will be making this possible. For the
overall development of this, there are some destinations which contribute to the maximum
amount and two of them are Venice and Barcelona. For that, it is required that there shall be
proper conservation of these places. There are some issues which are faced under this and all of
them shall be identified which will be done in this article.
Using the Barcelona (Spain) and Venice (Italy) case for the determination of conflicts in the
conservation of heritage and the cultural resources:
In the heritage and cultural places, Barcelona is one of the most important destinations at which there
are various monuments and other cultural aspects which are attractive. There are several famous places
such as Park Guell, Casa Mila and many more. Whereas in the case of Venice it is famous for the bridges
and the architecture of this place. The city is surrounded by water which makes it all the more beautiful
and has various historical structures which prove to be an attraction for visitors. In his the contribution is
to be made by all for the development and government is also included under this (Brosch, et. al., 2017).
In the process of the conservation of the historical place and culture of the Barcelona and Venice, there
are several issues and conflicts which are faced.
The tourism is increasing in the Venice and Barcelona and by this, the regular life of the people are
getting affected. There are large numbers of the visitors and by that resident feels uncomfortable. There is
the conflict of the transportation in the city. This is due to the traffic jams which are faced in the local

market due to the direct landing of the visitors from the airport to the public areas. There will be issues
due to this and the cultural values of the place are degrading due to the younger generation as they are
following such practices in the local places (Zhang, 2017). They do the unethical things by which the
environment is spoiled and this affects the tourism and the visitors of the place. As they remain in the
public places and see the spoiled environment which affects them in an adverse manner.
In the activities which are performed in Venice, there are various restrictions which have been created.
All the operations which are carried on the daily basis are disturbing the local residents of that place. As
there are travel related transportations so the local transport is affected by this which is used by local
people. There are several such attractive places in Venice by which the tourist are attracted and for that
various measures are taken ( Chhabra, 2017). The main purpose of the museums and other places to
provide the tourist with the information in relation to that place but now they are focusing more on
attracting more people instead of focusing on the main motive. There are increased people for the
traveling purpose and it creates an issue as the more people will be requiring the transportation and they
will have to wait which increase the time to travel. Also, this will be affecting the people of that place as
they will be feeling frustrated by the disturbance being created.
All of the issues which have been identified in the above part will have to be dealt with
appropriately and for that such measures will be taken which will be eliminating them. There is

the inclusion of the private sites in this whose main focus is on increasing of the profits and the
overall development is considered by the public places. So in order to reduce the adverse impact
which has been faced by the locations, there will be activities which will be required to be
undertaken.

this will be considered in the report below.
Purpose of Heritage and Cultural Industry
In the United Kingdom there are various visitor attractions and by the help of them, there are
various needs of the people which are met such as of the students as they are provided about the
required information which enhances their knowledge. By the help of them, there are several
other purposes which are fulfilled and they are explained hereunder:
For the purpose of research: In the tourism, there is the research which is made so that visitors
are aware of the place they are visiting and the events which will be taking place there. In this,
the main requirements will be identified and then the research will be carried out in accordance
with that and in this, all of the components in relation to this will be undertaken. There are
several sections which are made in these places so that the information will be provided about all
the departments in a separate manner such as arts, management, and science and due to this it
will be mainly essential for the students and other researchers (Civantos, et. al., 2016). This is
followed by all the famous places such as the National Maritime Museum, British Museum, The
Queen's House and many others. There is the practical knowledge which can be attained by the
use of the internship training which is provided by the British Museum and this will be helping
all the visitors to gain the understanding of the heritage and also the understanding will be raised.
By this, the further growth will be made as there will be an enhancement of the knowledge and

fulfilled. There are educational trips which are organized by the schools and universities in

For the purpose of recreation: By the visitor attraction there is the recreation which takes
place. There are various such features which attract more people. One of them is the National
Maritime Museum in which such sites are there which are very beautiful. Under this, the culture
of various places is recognized and is known for the same. Due to it, this place is visited by all
the visitors such as families, students, children, and others. There are such places here at which
best pictures are created and due to this, it becomes all the more famous. There are various other
recreational activities and facilities which are provided at these places such as the shopping
points, café, and other restaurants by which visitors will be satisfied (Durmaz, et. al., 2012). All
of these will be recreational and this purpose is fulfilled by the tourism and visitor attraction as
they will be increasing the benefits which will be received by the tourists.
For the purpose of entertainment: This is the main reason for which most of the people travel
and it is fulfilled by the tourism and visitor attraction. There are such places by which the new
experiences are gained by people. There are several exhibitions and other events which are
organized and by which the people will get entertained and will be thinking to visit again. By the
help of these, all of them will be able to have all the information about that place and its history.
There will be a tour guide which will also be provided so that they can tell the details about the

involvement of the various
public organizations and
the government which
carries out the processes by

also be beneficial for the
economy as a whole. There
