INTRODUCTION
Travel and tourism sector is one of the growing industries in today's environment or
economy. Large number of persons change from one nation to some other looking for few
outdoor actions which would provide them certain activity pleasure. It offers different purposes
of the visitors starting from various sources of recreation and fun to visit the foreign (Alberti and
Giusti, 2012). Tourism can be for different purposes and aim as person may visit for fun, to
acquire few meaningful experiences, to acquire regarding the historical significances of any
destination, etc. Tourism with the motive and subjective of increasing cognition regarding
heritage and culture of a nation is seemly the most famous these days.
This study is based on “Heritage and Cultural Tourism Management” and the scenario of
Venice & Barcelona. Both are attractive places for the travellers to travel them in happily. This
assignment will picture the significance of heritage and culture management and it is the duty
within tourism industry. Barcelona (Spain) and Venice (Italy), these are the best places which
attract a large number of the tourists to visit both places. Culture and heritage is essential for this
state because of its involvement of nation’s scheme and is giving 120,000 jobs all over the globe.
Impact of different kinds of ownership is also determined in this study. It cover the aspects such
as history, surviving culture and right significant of a destination. They have involved towards
stability, trait and economic growth in the nation.

1.2 Potential conflicts in the conservation of heritage and cultural resources
Tourism industry is a analysable process with the social, economical, biophysical, ecological
and political perspectives. It has been observed as the positive factor for cultural and natural
convention (Ashworth and Larkham, 2013). All the same, there has been possibly for being
conflicts or difficulties among the conservation and cultural sources of heritages. There are
some potential conflicts and issues are determined here:
Lack of presentation of destinations: It is one of the main and big difficulty for the tourism
sector which reduce the turnover of tourist. Barcelona and Venice; both are attractive places but

still they are unable to attract ample visitors. This is probably because of low awareness among
tourists. Sometime these are hinder the accurate consecration of the government and public help
for the assets of place.
Disrespect of the interest and right of the visitors: If an individual interest of the all host
nation, the regional and local level, autochange person and even the proprietor of property, then
the practices of cultural, activities, knowledge and beliefs are impacted very adversely.
Misinterpretation of physical concepts or impute: Indecent presentation and interpretation of the
various physical aspects like impalpable prospect and modern cultural appearances leads to the
thin elements and conflict regarding the cultural heritage.
Lack of planning and land use: It is also the big and main issue which is faced by tourism
industry during planning of effective trip (Ashworth and Page, 2011). If the potentials
misunderstanding between the conservation and tourism project of cultural heritage. It cannot
be minimised and recognised, then this show to the lack of preparation and use of various sites,
related land over the lifestyles and heritage of the host country.
Conservation Danger against success and development: If the planners, designers or authority
of heritage area trust in maintaining of the sites so obsoleted without modifying any places or
even keeping destinations for further growth or development and to build it more fascinating,
then it is not easy for the tourism industry for its further success.
Lack of innovation and new technology: If there is no proper use of innovative technology,
interactive software, education opportunities and integrated training for the employees, as well
as absence of researcher, insurance maker, designers, tourism operators, keeper, architects can
have an essential adverse effect for the development of tourism (Cuccia and Rizzo, 2011).

and training for the existing or new workers, management to bring modification, up-skilling of
members, then the tourism industry will not be created so far.
