IMPACT OF DIFFERENT TYPE OWNERSHIP ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ENTERPRISES
There are number of stakeholders which took responsibility to manage different historical sites. On
the basis of their contribution, such sites can be maintained for longer period time. Along with this,
It is also important to make an effective decisions and plans to improve such places with a motive
of attracting customers. Conservation places, rules and regulations implemented by government are
such major elements which makes huge impact on the development of heritage sites. There are
basically two types of organisation who attained ownership of maintaining such sites:
Publicly owned organisations
Commercially owned enterprises
Management and style depend on the basis of ownership. Publicly owned companies are
owned and controlled by government thus development of sites is totally based on the amount of
taxed they received. Having adequate funds with government increases the chances of providing
quality products and services to the customers. Managing and maintaining such sites can be done
with a motive of earning huge revenues through attracting lots of customers. Department of culture,
sports and media comes under public enterprise while Woodland comes under commercial firm.
Department of culture and media are managed by government who follows effective structure and
management style. Their main objective is to protect historical and cultural sites and preserve them
for longer period of time. For this, the government has appointed minister and officers in order to
supervise operational activities in more effective and efficient manner.
Woodland trust is a commercial enterprise whose main objective is to generate huge profits
and conducting research in order to find out the ways and methods through which they can attract
large number of customers sand earn huge income. They give their maximum efforts in planting
trees and make society greener. As Woodland is charitable based enterprises who coves more than
1000 sites in which lots of activities and facilities are given such as restaurant facilities with
multiple variety of food products. Staff, committees and trustees are main asset who contributes
maximum in developing these sites. They always focuses on protecting historic values of
destinations through enhancing infrastructure facilities.
There are various enterprises in UK who performs for the betterment of culture and heritage sites
exist in the country. They all are liable to preserve, maintain and protect historical sites so as to
provide better experience to the visitors. Such enterprise includes public and Private owned
enterprise. Woodland and government owned enterprise are real example of such enterprises.
Department of a culture, support and media is publicly owned enterprise which is owned
and managed by government who worked for the development heritage and cultural sites in UK at
international level which indirectly promotes the name of country as well. As the government have
adequate amount of funds due to which they are able to invest huge amount in introducing
innovative facilities and services at the destination places with a motive of making Britain one of
the best destination in the world. Such department has attained more than 40 agencies and public
firms.
Apart from this, there is one another enterprise who also worked for developing heritage and
cultural sites along with the purpose of achieving hue revenues. Woodland is one who mainly
focuses on making UK rich in trees and wood in order to serve better life for wildlife and people.
They are responsible to restore ancient wood with an objective to attract large number of customers.
At present, the firm has attained more than 500,000 thousand supporters along with over 900 sites
in the country. They are also responsible to preserve ancient sites in order to maintain balance in
nature. They operates business operations with a motive of earning huge profits thus betterment of
people are their second priority. Today's, such organisation contributes maximum in preserving and
maintaining the various sites so that it can exist in country for longer period of time. Therefore, the
growth and development of tourisms business is all depend on such types of organisation.
