First, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the lecturer of the subject, Miss. Heshani
Bandara for her advices, motivation, courage and knowledge. Your guidance has always
helped me to go in the right track throughout this assignment.
The final outcome and the success of this assignment is all due to the correct guidance and
the assistance that has been given by our lecturer which at the same time made me complete
the assignment on time.
Next, I would like to remind the lecture panel and the entire staff who encouraged me during
this time of preparing assignments and allowing me to utilize the facilities.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Self and Career Development is referred as a process which includes a personal development
plan built up based upon a self-appraisal: SWOT analysis. This report concerns the strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities and threats that have been identified through the SWOT analysis.
According to that, SMART objectives have been set to develop the areas which need
improvements where an Area Development Plan has been drawn to remark a brief idea about
the objectives and the strategies that have to be used to develop the specific areas which
shows lack of performance. Then through the personal development plan, targets have been
set up within certain time bounds and those targets have been listed out based on the
prioritization. In order to achieve the objectives, a self-evaluation has been considered so that
it could provide the skill level that we are currently attached to and, the activities to be
completed have been drawn out from that so that it could direct to perform those activities
and obtain a new skill level and also to hold a new goal. Through this PDP, one can gain
improved performances within the existing job, create pathways to improve skills and
competences and career development.
The scope of People and Organization mainly consists of relationship of people who come
together for a purpose or in order to fulfill a particular task. This report concerns the
leadership styles that could prevail within an organization and how it cope-up with the
motivational theories to encourage employees and achieve organizational objectives.
Task two focuses on individual behavior of the organization which is essential in directing an
organization towards success. Several data collection methods have been involved to analyze
the individual behavior. Through the completion of both the tasks, one can gain the
