In what ways did Osama bin Laden achieve his goals?
Osama bin Mohammad bin Awad bin Laden has been name of terror for years. He was the
establisher of Pan-Islamic militant firm al-Qaeda. Till 1994 he was the citizen of Saudi Arab.
He belonged from wealthy bin laden family. His father was a millionaire and was a founder
of the construction firm Saudi Binladin Group. He was studying in the University at Saudi
Arabia till 1979. He got associated with the Mujahideen forces in Pakistan IN 1979 where he
fought in Afghanistan on the other side of Soviet Union. He gained his popularity in the Arab
as he started funding the Mujahideen forces in providing money, people from the Arab
nations into the Afghanistan as well as provided them with arms. He established al-Qaeda in
the year 19881. In the year 1992 he was banned from entering into Saudi Arab and hence he
his base was shifted to Sudan. In the year 1996 due to pressure he has to leave Sudan. In
Afghanistan he established his new base where he declared a war against the United States
which resulted in numbers of attacks and bombings. He was on the FBIs lists of Ten Most
Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists as he was indulged the bombing of U.S.
embassy in the year 1998. In this essay it will be evaluated that how Bin Laden was able to
achieve his goals2.
Bin Laden came into highlight after the Attack on twin towers on 9/11. This has impact on
the whole of the world. It was considered to be as one of the biggest terrorist attacks. It can
be said that Osama bin laden was able to achieve his goals was because his goal was to bring
terrorism on the front page of the papers in the whole world. He declared war against United
States because United States said themselves as the biggest fighters from terrorism3. What
United States was doing in the Arab nations was not liked by many of the people that are
from other parts of the world. His accomplishment of goals can be understood by the fact that
United States understood itself as one of the safest countries to live and the politician had
hatred against Islamic people. Osama bin laden was having the goal of destroying the two big
