As an example where the Equality Act 2010 has been breached in my opinion at my
workplace is when we had a diabetic patient who due to religious and cultural reasons were able
to eat only halal meals.Being a busy department Accident and Emergency, since the patient has
been assessed first time until being seen by one of the doctors had nothing to eat because we
were unable to provide as department a cultural meal .Whiteout being able to treat all patient
fairly in all aspects not only by offering medical treatment I consider as a department we failed
also under the Care Act 2014 .
