Topic: Homemade food for LCC students.
Introduction
In the current scenario of the world, most of the people are facing a problem about good and
healthy food. People who are living far from their house for the purpose of business and studies
are having a huge problem to take good quality food for lunch and dinner. This project is mainly
based to analyse the demands and significance of homemade food in the London Churchill
College. The research will be based on the primary and secondary data in which qualitative data
both will be gathered. The literature review is the type of secondary research which will analyse
the author's review of the homemade food according to the research objectives. The research
will define proper methodology which will be used in this research. Finding and discussion will
be made on the qualitative research and outcomes to recommend some valuable suggestion on
the research topic.
The research question is;
What is the significance of selling home made food for LCC students?
The main aim of the research is to analyse the needs and demands of homemade food in the
London Churchill College.
Some of the research objectives are;
 To analyse the significance of homemade food in the daily routine of a person
 To analyse the advantageous of homemade food for a good health
 To analyse the demands of homemade food in the London Churchill College
All of the above-mentioned objectives are based on the research topic. These research objectives
are having the potential to analyse the core of topic, and it will also consider some relevant areas
of this research topic (Halkier, 2013). Literature review which is a type of secondary research is
also based on these determined research objectives which can help to the author to analyse the

review of different authors on the research topic. After the LR section, the main research will
also base on these specified research objectives.

Literature review
Homemade food in daily routine
According to the Kauppinen-Räisänen, et. al., 2013, daily routine activities and life have a need
for nutritious diet for lunch and dinner. The homemade food is purely processed in a traditional
cooking style and it is focused on the addition of qualitative factor in it. First of all, homemade
focuses on the proper processing of food to cook in a healthier manner which is easy to digest. It
is essential to use easy to digest food in the daily life which can help to the people to digest the
taken food effectively. Another thing which has most significance in the daily routine life is to
take healthier ingredients in the daily routine life which can help to keep a balance in the
vitamins, carbohydrates, protein and other nutritional values. It is essential for the human who is
living far from their homes for study and working purposes to take healthier food to keep the
focus on their work and studies to obtain their objectives. So it is effective for them to use
homemade food services to get a better quality of food with proper carbs and protein in it. The
homemade food less contains the chemical and preservatives in it which provides a protection
from food poisoning, allergies and sensitivities.
Advantageous of homemade food for good health
As stated by Cordeiro, et. al., 2015, homemade food is effective to maintain a good health.
Processing of the food is purely examined which has lesser chances to create any negative effects
on the human body. Most of the homemade food has a perfect combination of the carbohydrates,
vitamins, and proteins which has significance in maintaining the energy level. It is good to take
homemade food for lunch and dinner which helps to avoid overeating and also to it helps to
avoid junk food in the daily routine life. It is essential to take a balanced diet in the daily routine
which keeps the energy level and also supports to maintain a healthy routine of taking food at
right time. It is effective to take food on right time in a day which helps to create a routine to take
food. It helps to avoid diseases by taking homemade food daily. It provides nutritional values
daily in the diet which helps to the people to maintain the focus on their work.

Demands of homemade food in people living far from homes for study and working
purposes
As stated by Fitzmaurice and Schor, 2016, modern culture has hampered the traditional values
and it also hampered the lifestyle of people. This modern lifestyle has created a huge negative
impact on the health aspects so it is essential for the people to move back on the traditional
values to use t in their daily routine life. Many of the people have awakened to use traditional
values the food. Most of the people are facing obesity challenges in their life which are creating
problem to perform their daily task and activity. Most of the people are moving towards the
homemade food which is effective to digest and also to take a healthy and balanced diet in food.
Especially working people who are living far from their homes are trying to take homemade food
in their lunch and dinner. It is not possible for these people to cook food in their busy schedule so
homemade food services are effective service for them. It is cheaper from other alternatives and
also provides a healthier, a properly balanced diet for the lunch and dinner. However, college
students are less interested in this concept but it is essential to inform about the advantageous of
homemade food and disadvantageous of market food.

Research Methodology
Research approaches
Primary and secondary are the two types of research on which research approaches are
determined. Primary research is effective to collect fresh and current data and information
according to the research topic. The secondary is based on the uses of previous research data and
information (Barrett and Bolt, 2014). The research topic is based on the college students so it is
essential to create a primary data on the research topic, but it is also essential to take reviews of
different authors on the research topic. A literature review has been done which is a part of
secondary research and primary research will be done in the next in this project. The whole
research is based on the qualitative research method which is effective gather views and opinions
of relevant people on the research topic.
Data sampling method
Stratified, systematic and simple random are the three basic methods used in the data sampling
(Taylor, et. al., 2015). The stratified sampling method is effective to collect data from different
groups of people. Simple random is effective to select people randomly from the targeted people.
Simple random sampling will be used in this research to select people for primary research. The
qualitative research approach is selected for the research so it is essential to use smaller sample
size so 10 students will be selected for primary research.
Data collection method
Previous research paper and online journals are effective to gather information about the research
topic in the secondary research (Palinkas, et. al., 2015). The interview is an effective method in
the qualitative research so it will be used in the research.
Data analysis
Thematic analysis will be made in this research and these themes are based on the different
question which will be asked in the interviews. The pie chart is also used in the thematic analysis
to represent data in a better manner.

Findings and discussion
An interview is conducted with the 10 students to analyse their views and opinion about the
homemade food services in the London Churchill College. This interview is based on the open
and close-ended question which helps to the author to analyse their reviews effectively and
develop a recommendation on the research topic (Doody and Noonan, 2013). Different open-
ended questions have been asked of the respondents in this research by using the interview as
data collection method. Discussion of the result will be produced by using thematic and
graphical analysis. Different themes are created below which are based on the frequent question
asked in the interview with the college students on the research topic.

this question. Most of the people want to take a better quality and healthier food in their daily
routine life. 80% respondent of this research prefers the healthier food and 20% is negatively
reacted on this. Negatively reacted people are very less and these people may be influenced with

It is a thematic analysis in which graphical analysis is used. These themes are based on the
different questions which are asked in the interview. All of the people which are involved in this
research are agreed on these points mentioned in the above presented chart. Three basic points
are emerged with from this interview that homemade food is effective to develop energy level in
the human body. It supports to keep a nutritional balance in the body and improves the
antibodies and immune system to avoid diseases. All of the responded are effectively provided
their responses and openly communicated on this topic.

This interview is based on open-ended questions so people which are involved in this research
are open answers to the frequently asked questions by the interviewer. Most of the students
which are involved in this research are not properly knows about the advantageous so some of
the relevant examples are given by the interviewer about the possible answers. Approximately
60% people have assumed that homemade is effective to keep a good health. Few of people said
that it supports to save money because promotional and other charges are not involved in the
homemade food service so it is cheaper compare to market food. Few of people said that it is
better quality food as compare to other alternatives to food.

is based on the 10 students of the college, open and close-ended both types of question are used
in this research. It found that most of the people which are used to conduct this research are
positively reacted to this question. Few of the people are not interested in this concept so they
