INTRODUCTION
Covid-19 has increased the awareness of public and health care professional regarding
their health and well-being. Within hospitals, there is a necessity to ensure safety of staff, patient
and public to promote health and well-being. Patient safety is important within healthcare as it
reduces the risk and prevent it. It aims to reduce errors and harm that may occur in during the
health care provision to patients. Psychological support provide mental stability to patient and
help them in getting improved fast and in effective and efficient manner (Ardian, Hariyati and
Afifah, 2019). The essay is an reflection which uses Gibb's model to reflect strategies designed
for specify the management issue in hospital. The reflection describes the issue faced by hospital
regarding the continuity of normal hospital functions after Covid pandemic. The count of covid
cases was low but there was a possibility regarding the second wave of covid, in such scenario
hospital was facing in taking the desired actions and planning the strategies for it. The strategic
development of plans and their desirable actions are explained in the reflected within the essay.
MAIN BODY
The departments of hospital, including the risk assessing was called in order to discuss
and develop plans for hospital, in order to initiate the normal functioning of it as COVID-19
pandemic was becoming less intense. The concern of hospital was, second wave could have
happened anytime and hospital is taking initiative for starting elective surgery and planned
admission as before. The Gibb's model is used to specify the management issue in hospital and
the framework is designed as per the model to reflect the issue and its management.
The description of the hospital organised a strategic meeting, all the departments were
called for discussing the plans in related to initiate the normal functioning of hospital as the
Covid-19 pandemic was becoming less intense. As being in the risk assessment department, I
was called for the strategic planning. The concern of the meeting was, to initiate normal hospital
functioning when there is a possibility of Covid to spread again and emerge as second wave. The
key issue of the meeting was, to discuss in regards to staff moral and anxiety in regards to
pandemic and the continued cases of people being admitted (Ärleskog, Vackerberg and
Andersson, 2021). In the meeting, the discussion was done, keeping focus over the safety control
in hospital for Covid and to initiate normal hospital functioning. It was decided, that all the
doctors and health care professionals who will handle the covid cases wear PPE kit. The correct
order of putting PPE kit was decided to taught to all the heath care employees, for that posters
