INTRODUCTION
Career pathway can be characterized as a potential component in a person's academic and
career related prospectus that drives professional growth of an individual. In regards to
academic, personal skills and employability skills development provide a solid foundation for
career paths in order to facilitate assistance to the students known for its impeccable services.

Design and Management. The Art – Specialism area chosen for the given project is Interior
Design. The career pathway of this project is a hospitality firm as I chose this because this
industry has better growth opportunity and has huge growth in recent times and the art
specialism area is interior Designing. Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel is a five start hotel located in
London as well as it provides hospitality services to people. I developed this idea as Interior
designing is main factor is recent times which attract the large number of customers. It is related
to the internal design, colour theme, decoration, art work, room design, painting, decorative item
like flowers, sculptures and many more. People are attracted towards unique décor in order to
have great experience and it helps to remember a place which has good décor to visit again.

PRIMARY / SECONDARY RESEARCH
As per the research, it is found that Nicola Harding is one of interior designers in UK that
is popular for winning Pineapple Aware for Hotel Design. The designer is focused on people as
well as their experience of space. Nicola believes that process of project is as essential and
significant as finished result. Nicola take job of listening, understanding along with looking to
each of its clients seriously addition to see their practical needs as being bit as essential as
questions of style. Harding strives for character and integrity as well as create spaces which truly
reflect and fit people.

Some examples of Nicola Harding art designing which represent its better work and innovative
designs that are as follows-
Interpretation:
It is a room of Georgian-style house which is designed by Nicola Harding in which they
chose blue and white colour theme along with various flower pots and furniture which make it
look attractive. Along with they also add green colour by putting plants in this room which
enhance it beauty. The brass table, low hanging brass pendants as well as red flower add some
glamour of dining room which attract teenagers and old age people. it is most attractive interior
designing which meet the owner expectation regarding their living room.

Interpretation of image
It is another room which is designed by the Nicola Harding in which they choose perfect
combination of colours such as blue and green with wooden table. They also add some painting
and sketch on wall with wooden frame which enhance the beauty of this room. The carpet ion the
floor is perfectly goes with the colour theme of this room (A modern country house packed with
unexpected colour by Nicola Hardin, 2021). They chose blue velvet fabric for sofa which is very
trendy nowadays.

Interpretation: At Canary River Side Plaza Hotel, the lightening lamp placed at the
corner of the hotel room is soothing to the eyes. It can be said that the magazines on the table can
serve to useful for the customers who like to updates in regard with the latest whereabouts of
their preferred interest. The off white walls look extremely niche and appealing.

Interpretation: The see through window design is treat to the eyes of the visitors of the Canary
River Side Plaza Hotel. The orange cushions on the grey and nude shade sofa are complimenting
each other. The colour contrast is phenomenal. The crockery arrangement on the textured
wooden table looks good as well. The plant decor alongside the window curtains symbolizes
freshness and youth to the clients.

Interpretation: In the restaurant, furniture layout is arranged in accordance to customers so that
they can easily check out interior designs together with restaurant furniture at the time of giving
a rating. The image reflects that interior designer uses custom designed or readymade furniture
considering needs of users in mind.
STATEMENT OF INTENT
Following the end of the research, which included the presentation of variety of mind
maps and mood boards, it can be stated that the final design outcome will be focusing on the
most apt interior design setting for the concerned hotel which includes the right blend of patterns,
significant statement pieces, colour pallet and other required essentials. It will focus on
displaying supremely intriguing and engaging interior design for the hotel.

FINAL DESIGN OUTCOME
Interpretation
It is my own personal design of a waiting area of a new start up restaurant in which I chose a
colour theme of blue and cream which is different. There is one three sitter sofa of blue colour
with metal glass round centre table. There is a bin bag of another shade of blue colour. Along
with there is three flower vases which are different in size, shape and colour with beautiful
different flowers. There is two wall painting which make the room more interesting. The curtain
on window are cream in colour which perfectly complement the sofa as it seems simple and
soothing with rich quality fabric. On the door there is a hanging which is multi-colour and eye
catchy.
EVALUATION
The produced mind map and mood boards were created to help me come up with better
ideas and methods for my crucial success paths. It was challenging for me to create a mind map
and select suitable photos for the mood board in the specified assignment. However, by gathering
relevant data, the research was produced in accordance with the defined strategy and delivered
the project's expected goals. The final outcome was delivered as per the findings gathered though

the above conducted research. The learning was applied in order to come up with the image that
could exhibit the creative design for the selected hotel.
