many hotels and resorts. At the time of lock down, hotels need to continuously pay to rents,
salary and wages which are fixed expenses over unpredicted income. This become challenge to
survive in this competitive market for many small or new start-ups. Losses and expenses are
extremely on rise as in travel industry, due to shortage of guest of tourist they need to charge
double prices to cover their expense through which customers does not get money growth
satisfaction. The hotels require high operating cost even In this shortage(Bae, and Chang,
2021). Hotels like Haytor, Ivy bank in UK are constantly getting affected with rising cost at the
time of economic crises and inflation. These hotels took 10% rise in internal as well as external
expenses which must be dealt by reducing wastage in food, beverages and transportation cost.
Minimizing internal cost and finding a right move will be beneficial for company to evaluate
existing growth.
Impact on job opportunities
in current pandemic and times of economic crises, organisation mainly in hospitality industry
which was previously known for providing maximum job opportunities to contribute in GDP
and reduce poverty and disguised unemployment. but now, the industry itself facing losses and
less requirement of employees. As they need to pay salary and wages whether hotel attain
profitability of not. Due to this challenge, b the industry is not being able to contribute for
society welfare. The other challenge is about health concerns which many individuals facing
during the time of Covid-19. This has impact on employees health who may get diagnosed by
coronavirus. Through this, an effective employees would not work in such condition due to

more they will attract customers and gain economic advantage. It will reduce the impact on
macro business environment which will helps in overcoming with the challenges of Covid-19.

travel so that, these sectors taking 20% reduction in travel and stays. Due to this reason, they
attain low occupancy in this sector due to seasonal requirements (Perić, Dramićanin, and Conić,
2021). Covid-19 has become a threat for overall world which cause fear of life threatening
disease. There was a time when hospitality sector has covered large occupancy rate of customers

hospitality and travel sectors has to ban customer arrival form different parts of the world.
Therefore, it is required to maintain the regular flow of sales to occupancy visitors at first place

occupancy as soon as pandemic gets end.
