The hospitality industry refers to the involvement of the various different service such as
planning of the different events and accommodation facilities and various kinds of the
transportation provided by the organisation to the its tourist people . it is business which
organisation can earn the desire level of the profits by offering the comfortable serviced to it
customer. under this report , the Premier inn organisation which offer the hospitality services
under its hotel chain and having the headquarter in the England , UK market place. it is
concerned as the largest hotel in the UK market offering the world class service to its
customer and planning to expand their business at the Asia market .further their will be
discussion on the various operational function at this sectors and their contribution to the local ,
national and international levels and discussion the different operational roles which are
needed in the hospitality industry .

Under the hospitality sectors, there are different kinds of business in the form of service such
as food and beverages services, accommodation and event management and various another
theme events and transportation business. This industry includes the hotels and restaurants and
various kinds of bar . some of the effective business in the hospitality sector as discussed as
below:
Accommodation: it consist the various luxurious hotels which provide the service to the
customer . it offer the lodging service ,offer different kinds of room to stay and included the
breakfast and another essential service to the customer. here the client is provided with the
essential service in the form of room, food and transport services. (Brotherton, 2015)
Food and beverages: it is concerned as the important business in the hospitality industry and
it offer the different kinds of foods and drinks service to the client which helps them to
expand their business in the targeted market . there are different service in the form of quick

service restaurant, catering service firms and long chain restaurant. Here customer are offered
with various kinds of parties venue and catering facilities .
Entertainment : it is essential and important business in the hospitality sector which included
fun and entertainment activities for the customer and giving them fun time at their travelling
route. Service in the form of sports and another gaming zones and having good nightclubs life
which provide fun element to the customer .
it is consider as the important business as it includes the airline business, cruise and trains and
similar kinds of service . the purpose of this business to provide the travelling services to the
customer so that they can travel from one place to another places . it has a huge domain business
in the hospitality sectors . here the customer travel for the formal and informal purposes and it
also includes education and vacation travel across the worldwide.

In the organisation, there are different functional department that helps in proper running of the
business at the various level in the firm. In the context of the Premier Inn their are different
operational and functional section which are needs to run the business in the proper manners.

Front office: it is known as the reception where the customer can get the information and clear
is enquire about the hotel . this office helps the customer to give the information about the
service which are offered by the hotel so that customer can use the facilities in the proper
manner. This section handle the booking and taking the cash from the clients and all such
activities are performed under this section.
Housekeeping: here the management activities of the hotel are performed under this service ,
it include the proper maintain and cleanliness of the rooms and another areas so that customer
are satisfied with the service offered by the customer , with the references of the Premier In ,
this venture have effective staff which perform their task in the proper way and cleanliness and
safe measure are taken properly .
Security : here the safety of the customer are taken into consideration , it involves the handling
the equipment in proper manner, take care of the hotel premises and look that its guest are safe
in the hotel and their belongings are also safe in the premises.
