INTRODUCTIONHospitality management can be referred as the study of hospitality industry,hospitality management covers the restaurants, hotels, amusements conventions, food andbeverages, clubs, destination marketing organisations, etc (Pantelidis, 2016). Hospitalitymanagement refers o the range of occupational and professional practices which is associatedwith the administration of the hotels. In this report Hilton hotel is taken as an organisation,which is a global brand full of service hotels as well as resorts. This report discusses aboutthe analysis of employability and academic skills by conducting SWOT analysis anddeveloping a performance development plan. Also, how these skills can be used to getemployment within the hotel and hospitality industry.MAIN BODYPersonal Swot analysisPersonal swot analysis is the common tool which can be used by an individual foridentifying what are its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threat in order to achieve itscareer objectives. It is vital for an individual to conduct its own Swot analysis as it will allowan individual to recognise where a particular person is good at or what it lacks for achievingits career goals (Li and Hopfgartner, 2016). It is also a framework which allows an individualto focus on its strengths while minimising its weaknesses and also to take the advantage ofvarious opportunities which are available. With the help of a personal swot analysis a personhas the high chance of achieving the success in the career as it is the framework which allowsa person to maximise it abilities and overcome its weaknesses. For achieving my careerobjective which is to become the Front office manager of Hilton Hotel I need to conduct myswot analysis which is as below:Strengths:I have got various academic and employability skills which can prove to be mystrengths are-I have a very good communication skills, i can communicate with others in aneffective manner. For the job like Front Office Manager, one should have goodcommunication skills. Having a good communication skill I can interact withcustomers easily and also i will be able to understand them easily due to which i willbe able to address their issue in an effective manner. So, this skill can prove asstrength for me.Another strength in me is that I am very organised person because I am able toperform various at the same time.I hold a degree of Master of Business Administration is Hotel Management, so t canalso prove to be strength for me as I posses the knowledge about the Hotel industry.Weaknesses:Following are the weaknesses which can result in hindrances in achievingmy career objective:One of the major weaknesses in me is inability to stay calm under pressure, when iface pressure like situation I panic due to which I am not able to handle situation
