LO 1 P1 Key roles and responsibilities of the marketing function The marketing department plays an important role in hospitality which basically deals with customers and providing them quality services so that their stay can be made memorable andenjoyable(Feng, Morgan,and Rego, 2015). Following arethe marketing rolesand responsibilities in Ramada Hounslow-Heathrow East Hotel which makes it the best brand hotels in England, UK :Advertising and promotional campaigning: This function helps in spreading awareness amongst travellers about the facilities and services that are offered by the hotel so that more customers are attracted to avail those services which increases the sales of rooms. Keeping up with competition: This function plays an important in dealing with competition so that better services can be provided at best prices so that competitive advantage can be gained(Rowley, 2016). P2 Roles and responsibilities of marketing relates to other the organisation The functions of marketing in Ramada Hounslow-Heathrow East Hotel interrelates with other functional departments of the hotel in following ways :Interrelationship between marketing and finance departments: Marketing department promotes the hotel which helps in building strong and long-term relations with customers hence increasing the sales and providing funds to finance department whereas the finance department provides appropriate funds to the marketing department so that market research and other functions can be done efficiently(Marketing department functions and relations with other departments. 2012).Interrelationship between marketing and human resource departments: Marketing departments creates high promotions for the hotel which attracts candidates with required abilities to apply for jobs in the hotel and also helps in generating funds for the human resource department. On the other hand human resource department recruits efficient employees who are capable of dealing with customers and can apply marketing strategies of hotel appropriately.
