INTRODUCTION
Managing and developing the individual is one of the important task in the hospitality
industry. It plays a vital role in enhancing the overall productivity of business functions. It
facilitate the organisation in order to develop the determine the effective practises in order to
create the adaptive working environment. In regard to this lanesborough is being taken into the
consideration. Lanesborough offers the luxurious room & suites to their customer. It was
established in 1719 by James lane and viscount Lanesborough (Alblooshi, and et. al., 2020).
In the mentioned report performance management process will be evaluate of the mentioned
hotel as well as various planning and delivering learning programmes
will be highlighted in context to the employees. Furthermore, various factors that influence
the employee engagement for staff development will be evaluate. At last the mentioned report
will highlight the different leadership traits and styles that used by the mentioned Hotel in their
operational functions will be discussed.

Performance management is the process that used by the managers in order to continue
reviewing the performance of employee and communicating with employee to ensures their
productivity towards the achievement of organisation objectives. The mentioned process is one
of the main aspect in HRM. It assist the organisation to develop the motivating working
environment at workplace. The respect performance management combines the number of
functions such as performance review of employee, goal setting according to the organisation
functions, effective communication between the team members, deliver performance feedback
for each employee for improvising the employee development program and at last performance
of each individual are connect with recognition and reward. In regard to this the Manager of
Lanesborough uses the systematic performance management process in their operational
functions in order to focus on each employee performance. Furthermore, below are the five
elements of performance management process that facilitate the mentioned organisation in
measuring and reviewing employee performance(Hall, and et. al., 2019).

Planning- The mentioned stage includes the setting of goals according to the
organisation functions. The respected organisation also disclosed their goals in the job
description process in order to attract the ideal candidate in their operational functions. In
addition to this the manager of mentioned organisation Bifurcate all the roles and
responsibility according to the suitability of employees towards the derived goals. In
instance it gives the overview to each employee about their roles which need to perform
in order to achieve the goal. Hence, by the planing process the respected organisation set
their future goals align with their workforce in order to achieve the desire outcome.
Monitoring- The second stage includes the process of performance monitoring in which
employee performance are monitored by the managers according to the derived goal.
This is one of the crucial stage that provides the real scenarios of organisation functions
regard to the company goal. In regard to this Lanesborough uses the performance
management software in monitoring process in order to get the actual details of employee
performance. Whether the employee putting the determined efforts towards the derived
goals or not, all these reliable insights were gathered through the performance designed
software. In addition to this these software used by the manager through which real time
insights regard to the implied goals are gathered as well as facilitate them in order to
modify of correct course according to the organisation functions.
Developing- The data which collected through the monitoring process used in improving
the employee performance. All the collected data from the monitoring process are
carefully reviewed by the management in order to eliminate the loops holes from the
organisation derived goal. As the mentioned organisation have the number of employee
segments with the bundle of different goals such as housekeeping department are
indulged in different goals whereas food and beverages have different roles. Hence, it is
important for the respected organisation to continuously reviewing their employee
performance. In regard to this the mentioned organisation developed the number of
effective assignments and training programs in their workplace in order to enhance the
productivity of employee by evaluating their knowledge and skills. Through such
functions employee performance were accelerated towards the assigned goal.
