Introduction
Mega sporting events are characterized as those one-off games globally coordinated by a single
"authority" and which emit very high levels of media inclusion and influence (finance, business
travel, framework, and so on) to the host network. as a consequence of the centrality of the event
and the additional dimension. The actual event is often accompanied by similar exercises, for
example celebrations and social occasions.
Hosting large sporting events requires countries to undertake mega projects and events, resulting
in direct economic impact (Zimbalist, 2020). This encourages an expansion of mobility and
activities in the design, construction and development sector characterized by underlying
expenses, together with the expansion of industry and consumption in the sector of the emerging
travel industry following the inclusion of inland holidays (but this could sometimes spread to the
travel industry due to block chain costs), just like an increase in consumer spending at the event.
Hosting the event provides several “intangible benefits” for example the event that demonstrates
the ability to take complex actions for the countries that allow these big times, as well as the
opportunity to promote production in addition to the" name of the image A major brand could
then lead to unfamiliar profitability and expand global trade and the travel industry.

Health Impacts
Impact on housing
Positive impacts
An Olympic Village is an accommodation center built for the Olympic Games, usually in an
Olympic Park or elsewhere in a host city. Olympic cities are designed to house all interested
competitors, just like athletic authorities and advisors. After the murder of Munich at the 1972
Olympics, the villages were made very safe. Only competitors, coaches and authorities may
reside in the city, but relatives and former Olympic competitors are allowed with legitimate
control (Levy and Berger, 2013).
Thus, the positive impacts include conversion of Athletes village into 2,800 homes for homeless
people. As without organizing such mega event; it was not possible to make 2,800 homes. This
mega event organized in every 4 years and once city hosts this event then it will take decades to
get it turn back. This makes Athletes village unoccupied and it can be used for other purposes.
Negative impact
The negative impact includes destruction of existing housing to build stadium and other
necessary infrastructures. As all properties are under government supervision, they have the
power to use any property without the concern of owner. Hence, many people lost their houses
due to this event. They get compensation equivalent to their property value but this
compensation can’t fulfill their emotional attachment with their house.
Impact on Psychic
Positive
Physical activity can occur immediately (rest / work / transport) or be coordinated and separated
according to purpose: physical exercise is identified as essential for the development of real well-
being and boundaries. True preparation is fundamentally focused on expanding the person's true
limits and executing them. Young people are more active than adults, but their activity levels
decline as they progress towards instability and the critical masses of young people are not
interested in activities recommended for physical activity (Herstein and Berger, 2013).

Every 4 years, the summer Olympic Games diverts much of the world’s attention from the
conflicts and tragedy that regularly dominate the news. Seeing skilled contestants stretch their
bodies as far as possible inspires some viewers to more famous achievements in the game and in
life. Wellness experts believe that fourteen days of exposure to sports photography and reporting
will force viewers to make greater efforts to be truly dynamic in their behavior, no matter how
advanced they are well below its competitors. Although there is no evidence that the Olympics
are actually moving the action in the host country or elsewhere, the Olympic Games attract
considerable media attention on human development.
Thus, Olympic games promote sport and exercise among youth though which improvements in
physical activity occurs and many youths who see their idol in Olympic events start work hard to
become like them.
Negative impact
The positive stories about the Olympics ’ability to perform real action were pretty normal. In any
case, concerns about the ability of these actions to induce significant behavioral changes have
been consistently investigated less consistently. Reports from a major public survey show that
pre-Olympic profiteering had little effect on the reach of Newham adults who are currently
meeting the recommendations of transition rules.
Despite spending extra money to promote the game in the Olympic Games, only 12.6% of
people over 16 get 30 minutes of moderate exercise for seven days. An Active People study,
conducted as a watch by Sport England, showed that sports interest in the (Newham) region has
not changed since 2007. Recently, a good cause for sport, for example, Access Was Sport and
Fight for Peace £ 80,000 and £ 150,000 alone and £ 30,000 each was awarded to Star Park, Star
Lane, Canning Town and West Ham Park to create multi-purpose play zones.
Impact on Public health/Sport Infrastructure
Positive
When a city wins a bid to host the Olympics, urban areas typically build roads, build or upgrade
airports, and build railways to host the Olympics - in too many people. Accommodation in the
Olympic city also requires accommodation or renovation, as well as 40,000 housing and special
offices for the times are available.

Cities hosting the Olympics gain temporary jobs due to infrastructure improvements that
continue benefiting the cities into the future. Big games mostly involve emerging moves and
letter combinations. This campaign leaves a lasting legacy for the entire economy. Better
vehicles come together to reduce congestion and help improve efficiency for neighboring
businesses. It can help increase the economic benefits of the economy (by moving gracefully to
one side). For example, for the London 2012 Olympics, new railways were introduced in East
London and improvements to underground and overland rail systems (Khraiche and
Alakshendra, 2020).
Planning for future facility usage before the event is a key in ensuring that infrastructural
investments have significant impacts in the longer term. As planning in advance gives benefit of
alteration in plan according to the suggestions by different experts. Simulation module of whole
project makes it easy to focus on practical issues actually faced by host country while
constructing the infrastructure. The design of infrastructure is based in long-term benefit such as
whether the infrastructure has any other use.
Negative
Beyond converting facilities for future use, there are other stark examples of mega-event hosts
engaging in excessive spending without any after-use planning in mind. However, the legacy of
mega-events has historically been mixed; while some urban areas are seen for their development
efforts, many others have been criticized for their actions, or for the lack of that sector. The term
estate itself, however, is dangerous; provides a mixed view of positive outcomes, without

network.
Many areas of society benefit from volunteering each year. In particular, the field of play and
rehabilitation is highly dependent on the resources of volunteers.1 Sports volunteers perform a
variety of jobs, for example coaching, administering, administering or increasing support for
network associations, clubs, sports, schools or organizations that monitor games. Match
schedules that take place at the neighborhood, local, national, or inter-national level are one of
the key avenues to sculpt in sport, but are verbal in nature in terms of the temporal
responsibilities expected of the volunteers. The Olympic Times encourages these volunteers to
bring about social change by providing a commitment that allows Mega Times.
Olympics helped schools in the area
At the event of Olympic; new school opened in the ground of the park besides shortage of
spaces. This school named Chobham Academy and it will cover all levels of education and extra
curriculum activities especially sports (Hiller and Wanner, 2019).
Utilization of aquatics centre to fulfill local needs
The infrastructure of aquatics is now using the facilities of its 50 meter pools for the community
and schools. Also the elite athletes use this pool for practicing in original situation because this
pool already made according to the requirement of Olympic events.
Negative
In the development of the Olympics, few jobs were created for individuals in the neighborhood.
Unemployment rates remain high in the area and it has not been an opportunity to prepare people
for work. Pinnacle Hamlets won almost no results at the Olympics. Many people in the parks

around the Olympic Park are still in poverty. Buildings for the less fortunate need to be squeezed
to clear access to the site, for example 450 Housing Association pavilions have been destroyed.
Impact on Transport links
Positive
The Olympic Games will attract many guests to the metropolitan area. The essential goal is to
provide transportation to allow the Games to meet the key travel needs. This often includes
improvements to the mobility framework and improvements in the ability of people to move in
and out of the Olympic arenas. To reach this new frontier, the use of best practices for Olympic
vehicles, preview and test times are all essential components for effective care of peak
applications. The volume of tickets sold is relative to the private population as an intermediary
regularly used for the work of Olympic vehicles.
For the Olympics the tram structure was supported by an extensive transport administration of
over 7000 coaches on 38 routes. In contrast, London has developed a large number of vehicles
for Olympic passengers and London residents.
Negative
Due to high rush of tourists to see Olympic events and also to visit various cities in the host
country will increase the probability of busy traffic. It will also impact local people with major
delays to their offices; additional to this the hot summer weather could become unpleasant for
people stuck in the traffic.
Impact on Security and Resiliency
Positive
Violence, protest, and resistance have been a part of the modern Olympic Games since at least
Mexico City 1968, where student activists were killed in the Tlatelolco Massacre days before the
11 opening ceremony.
Negative
There is a danger of risk amplification in that the message of risk is accelerated, which means
creating a balanced approach to risk management, fear minimization, and precautions is needed.

Environmental Impacts
Impact on Air quality/pollution
Positive
A large number of the grounds in the Olympic Park have been kept as parkland and are available
to general society for use as a picnicking and play zone. New green spaces and untamed life
environments were made, including lakes, forests, and fake otter openings. The arenas were
made of in any event 25% reused materials.
The River Lea that runs through the Olympic Park was improved as has the quality of its water.
Green areas were placed along the banks of the river. The urban wasteland of the Lower Lea
Valley was cleaned up, with soil being cleaned on site (Schmidt, 2017).
Negative
Many of the materials for the stadiums and the Olympic Park came from overseas The games
produced 3.3 million tons of CO2 which was emerged from vehicles, machineries and from other
sources due to high population of tourists.
Impact on Regeneration
Positive
The Olympic Site was built largely on 560 acres of Brownfield land, property that had been
neglected, unused, and contaminated. Due to this wasteland get regenerated by Olympic Games
and utilized waste sources into income generation infrastructure.
Negative
While ecological protections are widely cited by rights holders and coordinators, the reality of
the case is quite different; as a major spending piece of nature conservation and biodiversity
strategy given to the promotion of nature security and common habitat insurance issues.
Nevertheless, the feasibility of this type of special mission is low, because without the
implementation of legitimate limits, businesses will not change their progress to a more natural
level for fear of they are found around here recognized in a short time.

Impact on Energy
Positive
The single largest roof-based solar energy system was installed on the roof of the Olympic
basketball venue, the Sydney SuperDome. The combined solar panels on the roofs of 665 houses
in the Athletes Village are the equivalent of a small power station. This has save lots of energy of
the city hosting Olympic Games.

Conclusion
Olympic Games bring both positive impacts and negative impacts to the hosting country that
result show the Olympic Games are more than a sport because there are included health, social
and environmental phenomena. Host country plans for developing infrastructure by taking long-
term uses of the property in the future for making it worth of money. Hosting such a big event
gives opportunities to host country to welcome large people from all over the nation and show
them their hospitality and culture.

Recommendation 1: Health
Considering after-use planning is construction of major Ol critical in the selection, design, and
related venues, significant impacts that infrastructural investments have before the event is key in
ensuring.
Recommendation 2: Social
Olympic bid and planning processes as early as possible in order to better understand
expectations, concerns, commitments related to inclusion.
Recommendation 3: Environment
Pre-determined reporting periods commitments to and clearly articulated and tangible on the
environment communication strategies.
