Introduction Professional identity is based on self conception that is related to identification and experience in a profession(Hustedt and Salomonsen, 2018). In the current study novotel London is taken into consideration. . For the purpose of present study role of hotel supervisor has been selected. The study will cover a suitable job interview process for the selected role along with the strengths and weakness of interview. Main Body Present a job interview for suitable industry role Interviewee: “Good Morning, Sir.” Interviewer: “Good Morning, have a seat!” Interviewee: “Thank You, Sir!” Interviewer: “Shall we start the process of interview?” Interviewee: “Sure, Sir!” Interviewer: “Tell me something about yourself?” Interviewee:MynameisJohn.Ihavecompletedpostgraduationinthefieldofhotel management. I have two years of work experience in hotel industry. I have completed various certification courses to enhance my knowledge and capability. Interviewer: According to you what are the skills required for performing the role of hotel supervisor? Interviewee: “In my opinion, communication and interpersonal skills are most important for performing a role of supervisor. Additionally, team building and leadership skills also need to present in a hotel supervisor.” Interviewer: Why do you want join the company? Interviewee:novotel London is one of the largest hotel groups. Here, I will get opportunity to work with international that will better for my career. Interviewer: What are your strengths? Interviewee: I am good incommunication and team managementskills.
Interviewer: What is your future perspective? Interviewee: I would like to enhance my skills and capabilities in order to make myself able enough to work with one of the prestigious and well-known hospitality organization. Interviewer: OK John!!We will shortly let you know the results Interviewee: OK Sir Interviewer: Thank you, John Interviewee: Thank you, sir for your time and considerations Strengths of interview process:Interview process helps in hiring a potential candidate who has capabilities and skills to perform a particular role. Through interview, it is easy to assess the strengths and weakness of a particular person that further help to assess the suitability of that the person for the position as well as the company. In addition, interviewer gets an opportunity to know the interviewee during the process(ROCHETTE, REDMAN and CHANDLER, 2020). Weakness of interview process:Sometimes, efficient candidates get rejected during the process of interview. In interview multiple rounds are conducted due to which sometimes efficient candidates get rejected at early stage. In addition, huge expense needs to be done in order to conduct the whole interview process(Toombs, Drawson and et. al., 2018).
