Business Environment is an aggregate of all the
internal and external factors prevailing in the
environment. These include innovation in
technology, fluctuating needs and wants of the
customers, economic changes, trendy markets and
others.

(1.1) Types of organisations found in the Public and Private sector
There are different types of organisation which are regulated under
different sectors. These are discussed below.
 Private Sector
The organisations operating under private sector are owned by
individuals. The motive behind running business is to earn profit. The
stakeholders of the private sector organisations are benefited by the
profits earned. They are not run by the governments and considered as
part of economy.

(1.2) Types of Organisational Structure within businesses
Organisational structure directs the business activities in right direction to achieve
the desired goals effectively and efficiently. There are four types of organisational
structures out of which two are discussed below.
 Functional Structure
It is the most common amongst all structures. Under this employees of the
organisation are grouped in accordance with their roles or tasks.
