Part D: Part D: Justify and explain 750 word maximum …
10 % weighting
Justify and explain how your lesson planning will maximise academic learning time and minimise
disruption. Lessons will need to be inclusive and engaging and organisation and planning will reduce
the need for behaviour management interventions. (Chp 9 of the text will help).
Some considerations include:
a. use of a variety of teaching styles.
b. organisation for quick and seamless transitions from activity to activity,
c. equipment transitions minimised
Lesson planning is an important part in the school curriculum because it provides the teacher with a
concrete direction of what they want to take or teach for the day (Schenker and et.al., 2019). There are
many studies which show that student learning is correlated to teacher planning. In the given context, the
lesson planning will help in maximizing the amount of academic learning time and also, minimize
disruption at the same time. The lesson plan will include different innovative learning techniques so that
the students will be able to enhance their learning about the importance of health and physical education
in order to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. The teacher will use a wide range of teaching styles in
order to ensure that the overall learning process is interactive and the students are able to gather the most
of knowledge.
The different teaching styles that will be used will include the discussing style, the directing style as
well as the delegating style. Apart from this, the teacher will also try to organize different activities in
such a way that there is a quick and seamless transition between different activities. The students will be
organized in such a manner that each one of them is able to develop an understanding of what is being
taught in the class (Tinning, 2020). Rules will be set which the students will have to adhere to and a
planner will also be used. Lastly, different equipment will be used in order to ensure that lesson plan is
delivered effectively. These will include using blackboard, chairs, tables, balls of different sizes and
shapes.
The lesson planning will ensure that the students get a chance to enhance their existing skills as well
as knowledge about the importance of health as well as physical education. The respective lesson plan
comprises of interactive games. These games will not only help in boosting the confidence of the
students, but also, they will be able to become more active. Health and physical education is helpful and
can assist the students in understanding its importance in an effective manner. Therefore, it can be said
that with the help of this particular module, the students will develop knowledge as well as
understanding of different types of boomerang games as well as ball-hitting games. One of the games
which is included in the lesson plan is Fliers and Grounders. The game will include certain rules and

regulations that the students will have to abide by during the course of the game. The students will get an
experience of taking part in interactive games and therefore, they will be able to perform effectively
academically. Therefore, it can be said that the lesson plan has been developed keeping in mind the
learning needs of the students. Therefore, it can be said that the lesson plan will allow the students to
perform effectively as well as enhance their existing knowledge.
The respective lesson plan is also focussed on promoting a confident as well as effective behaviour
among the students. The respective lesson plan is important because it will help the students to develop
different skills as well as enhance their existing knowledge about the importance and benefits of health
as well as physical education. At the end of the module, the overall efficiency of the students will
increase and they will be able to perform more confidently. Also, it will easier for the tutor to evaluate
their overall performance of the students in an effective manner. The lesson plan is designed in such a
way that the students will be able to ask questions from the tutor in case of any doubts. Different
activities are included in the lesson plan and it will be easier for the tutor to transition from one activity
to another seamlessly. And the different activities will be organized in an effective manner. Therefore, it
can be said that this lesson plan will certainly help the students to enhance their physical health by taking
part in the different activities.
