INTRODUCTION
In the existing research I will collect in-depth information about the scope in HR profession. The
profession of HR demands people who have great opinions, views, confidence, communication
and skills to convince (Mayo, 2020). I desire to build career in the field of Human Resource
because it has great opportunity of development and success. Large number of recent graduates
are selectin HR as a profession because people are more interested to connect with human and
learn their requirements about the expectations out of the job responsibilities they apply to. This
research focuses on understanding the skills and qualities needed by me for becoming a
successful HR Assistant. This report also includes latest trends in HR profession which are quite
important in the market. With the motive of assembling in-depth information primary and
secondary methods will be considered. Primary information will be assembled through forming
open-ended questions for interview. On the other hand, secondary information will be assembled
through books, articles, newspapers, journals, publications etc. Therefore, this report covers the
trends as well as skills and knowledge required for the success in HR profession.
ANALYSIS AND APPLICATION
General trends which will impact HR profession (Secondary research)
There are various latest trends that hold great significance in the profession of Human Resource.
In an organisation, employees are the essential asset and for every organisation needs human
resource managers and assistants. Human resource is the profession that needs to find certain
latest trends so that they could be followed at right and right number of candidates could be
recruited n the organisation (Gunesh and Maheshwari, 2018). With the adoption of new and
advance technologies, human resource profession is continuously changing and growing with the
years.
Globalisation: The greatest trend in the HR profession is globalisation. This trend has given
many opportunities to organisations and brands for expanding their business as well as including
people from different countries and regions (Beaven, 2019). It is also determined that
globalisation has impacted HR profession as now they have the responsibility to recruit people
from different countries as well as manage employees who have different culture and know
different language. In simpler words, these managers have the responsibility to include as many
diverse employees so that they can manage international clients of the organisation.

This trend of HR profession also impacts recent graduates who are urging to make career
because now companies want employee who have great knowledge about the policies and
systems of different countries. This also includes that these candidates must be aware about the
several languages as well as culture.
Technology: The other significant trend in the HR profession is technology. Advance
technologies are very important for the success of any organisation. HR is also one of the types
of profession which gives great importance to advance technologies because these make
operations of HR professionals quite easy and convenient (Khan, 2019). Different HR
professionals use applicant tracking software and cloud computing for successful implementation
of their actions. This also assists in recruiting candidates as per the requirement of organisation
such as vacant job positions, workload etc. The advance technologies also assist HR
professionals to eliminate and mitigate chance of bias nature from the organisation by giving
importance each and every applicant. HR professionals become more effective and efficient in
on boarding, recruiting, selecting employees in the organisation. These advance technologies and
tools also assist in managing hectic operations of HR professional by keeping continuous track
and control.
An organisation also expects from recent graduates that they must be aware about different
types of advance technologies because this assists in including talented employees in the
organisation. When recent graduates will have knowledge of advance software and technology
then they can easily perform their assigned job roles and responsibilities. When graduates have
knowledge of artificial intelligence then they do their assigned work with greater efficiency and
effectiveness.
Employee Wellness Programs: In the current fast-paced culture of the organisation and constant
competition have created stress among employees while working in an organisation. HR
practitioners adopt different type of wellness programs for keeping mental health of employees
healthy and stable. These programs are developed by HR as per the requirements of employees
so that they can feel positive in the organisation and perform their work with greater efficiency
and effectiveness (Griggs and Allen, 2018). With these programs, HR professionals create
balance between personal and professional lives of employees. This also makes HR professionals
to build loyal, motivated and engaged workforce so that objectives of the company could be
easily met.

Companies expect from recent graduates who want to make career in HR profession that they

Inclusion and diversity: The other significant trend in the profession of HR is diversity. Every
HR professional in an organisation working hard to increase diverse employees so that company
could have multiple ideas (Ford and et. al., 2021). Professionals of HR are capable enough to
create working environment where everyone supports each other irrespective of their religion,
age, gender etc.
It is expected from the recent graduates that they must be aware about the ways through which
they should recruit diverse and talented workforce in the organisation. This helps in creating
positive mind-set among employees that their work is quite important for the development and
success of the whole organisation.

As per the data collected through primary investigation, it is determined that diversity and
inclusion as well as artificial intelligence are the greatest trends in the profession of Human
resource (Snoek, Dengerink and de Wit, 2019). Artificial intelligence has provided with many
HR tools through which professional can easily track their work. On the other hand, with the
trend of diversity HR professionals are able to include people from different backgrounds and
culture.
The skills, knowledge and experience needed
Key skills
Recruitment skill: HR professionals should have the skill to recruit and hire candidates in the
organisation. This includes ability of hiring diverse workforce as well as making new employees
aware about policies of the organisation (Charlwood and Guenole, 2021).
Conflict resolution skill: The other skill should be in HR professional is ability of resolving
issues between employee and manager (Poba-Nzaou, Uwizeyemungu and Clarke, 2020). This
reduces the chance of harassment issues and health and safety issues.
Advising skill: The other significant skill is advising skill in which Hr professionals guide
employees and other stakeholders about the different issues and challenges prevailing in the
workplace (Keler and Martynova, 2020).

Teamwork skill: Another significant skill for an HR professional is teamwork skill. In this skill
HR professionals should be able to work with every employee and giving importance to each
member regarding work (Roper and Higgins, 2020).
Communication skill: The other important skill for an HR professional is communication skill.
It is necessary because it is the responsibility of an HR professional to make employees aware
about the different workings of the organisation (Matsankos and et. al., 2020).
Key knowledge
Conceptual skill: A recently passed graduate and who want to make career in HR professional
should have in-depth knowledge of theories and models because it is necessary while dealing
with employees in the organisation (Rana, 2018).
Software skill: A recent graduate should have knowledge about various HR tools and software
because they make the operations quite easy as well as convenient (Lowman and Harms, 2022).
EVLUATION
As per the above included information, it is evaluated that the profession of HR is quite
necessary for an organisation. I believe that I can have brighter career in the HR profession
because I have great communication skill as well as the ability to influence people. For me HR
profession is quite interesting as well as challenging because it is surrounded by employees
operating in the organisation. I think that I am quite suitable for the job role of human resource
because I can manage people effectively and efficiently. It is the job which is continuously
growing and has broader scope because an organisation needs workforce and they can be
recruited when an organisation has strong Human Resource Department. I prefer profession of
HR in comparison of other job opportunities because it has latest trends such as usage of advance
technologies etc.
CONCLUSION
From the above gathered information, it is concluded that profession of HR is quite interesting.
This profession requires particular set of skills and knowledge because it is directly linked to the
welfare of employees working in the organisation. It is determined in this report that artificial
intelligence is one of the greatest trends in HR profession because it has made work of HR
professional quite easy and convenient.
