INTRODUCTIONHuman resource management is a strategic approach of hiring and developing staffmembers in order to make them valuable assets for the enterprise. HRM practices is necessary tocarry out in a organization as this department deals with issues like, compensation, developmentof organization, wellness, benefits, staff training etc. The main motive of HRM is to upgrade theworking efficiency. This report is based on Costa Coffee which is a British multinational coffee-house. It was established in the year 1971 by Sergio Costa and Bruno Costa. This assignmentcovers purpose and scope of HRM in an enterprise. Moreover, strengths and weaknesses arestudies of various approaches related to recruitment and selection (Bailey and Garavan, 2018). Italso throw-light on the importance of HRM practices and how it affect the decision makingprocess. Moreover, distinguished employment laws are studied so that business can runeffectively without any government interference. Also, it focus on applications of HRMpractices carried out in an administration.LO 1P1) Discuss purpose and functions of human resource management and how are they applicableto workforce planning and resourcing an enterprise. HRM (Human Resource Management) can be defined as practice of recruiting,deploying, training, motivating etc. of employees so that they can be turned into assets of theadministration. The core function of this division is to includes workers training, compliance andsafety, staff recruitment, payroll, internal relations, scheduling etc. HRM plays a strategic role inhandling diversified people and workplace culture in the cut throat competitive world. Bycarrying out human resource management in an administration it assist in raising work efficiencyamong employees by boosting them on continuous basis. Due to which productivity andprofitability volume raises accordingly (Banfield and Royles, 2018).
