Introduction Below discussed topic is concerned with the human resource management in
transport sector. This research allows the researcher to learn about various
aspects and techniques of human resource management. It also examines the
negative and positive effects of managing human resources in transport
sector. Annotated bibliography is undertaken in order to get information
about the different recent articles published related to the topic. It facilitates
the researcher to improve the capability of analysing the articles and
recognizing the important data from it that can be used for advance research.
It helps the learner to do careful study about the topic as well as to notice all
the aspects covered in the topic.

Each business firm aims at maximising its profits and acquiring the larger
share in the market by providing best possible services. In order to achieve
this goal, firms are required to have essential resources known as human
resources. Every organisation has unique human resources and in order to
make efficient use to these resources, human resource management practices
are required to be introduced at various levels of the organisation. This paper
analyses processes of management, human resource management and its
proficiencies in transport industry, perspectives and issues of HRM practices.
In this article, author tries to reveal the significance of human resources as
the most important economical tool in management of the transport sector
organisations. The author also tries to find out the role of transport sector in
the development of Lithuania’s economy and its share in GDP. For this
purpose, data has been collected form the Lithuanian Department of
Statistics, and a questionnaire approach was used for the assessment of

capabilities of human resources in transport division. For data to be accurate
and enlightening the authentic situation, employees designated on various
positions, were interviewed to answer the different questions. At the time of
processing of data, such employees were considered as labourers and
specialists. The value formed by the human resources has widely analysed in
addressing the facts related to investment of human capital. The article
contains wide information about transport related policies and frameworks
that are required to be followed by the Lithuanian transport companies.
Criticism:
This article is useful for the topic, to get information about the factors that
affect management of human resources in process to support transport
sector’s growth. It presents scientific problem analysis, need and essence of
academic modelling and concepts, defining the need of human resource
management in transport sector. The author has used more than one methods
of research so that many aspects can be covered in single article and thus this
article is able to provide information about various aspects of the topic. The
research in the article can be used for the depth knowledge of functions that
should be considered to improve the management of transport sector. All the
results in article are based on the surveys and questionnaires that represent a
view in general. It means the results are quite considerable and can be used
for the formulation of some internal general rules in the organisation.
