INTRODUCTION
Health and social care is a term that is related to all services that are being provided by
health and social care workers for improving quality of health of people (Kuluski and et.al.,
2017). This study is going to discuss some roles of health care practitioners and ways by which
they provide qualitative care to people who are in need. Further, it will discuss different kinds of
relationship in healthcare sector. It will also show effectiveness of codes of practices for making
safe working environment.
4.1 Roles and responsibilities of health and social care practitioners
Health and social care workers plays several functions and the main reason of them behind
performing several functions is to improve health of patients and making them able to live a
healthy and qualitative lives. Some common and important roles and responsibilities of social
and healthcare practitioners are:
Promote person centred outcomes: Licenced health and social care practitioners work in
partnership with other professionals. The main role and aim of working in partnership with
others is to provide care and support needs to community members and people who are in need.
They provide information about ways of accessing healthcare services and make community
members able to improve their health by taking appropriate and qualitative healthcare services.
Helping people with personal care: Health and social care practitioners help community
members and people who are in need in helping them out with personal care (Chouinard and
et.al., 2017). They support people in dressing and showering. There are so many people that are
not able to even eat and drink so, health and social care practitioners make healthcare
professionals work easier by helping such people in eating, drinking, making them walk and
others.
Along with these, they provide care for family members that are in certain needs and
situations.
Provide support to people who are facing challenges of old age.
Help and support people with disability in dressing, eating and walking.
Prevent people with harm and discrimination.
4.2 Different working relationships in health and social care settings
There are several types of working relationships that care staff have with service users to whom
they support and provide care. Some important relationship in social care settings are:
