INTRODUCTION
The role of health and social care professional plays a vital or the captious role to
improving the quality or access the healthcare for the population (Caras, 2014). In this
assignment it will discussed about the responsibilities of nurses and their personal qualities and
their importance. Moreover, this will talking about main differences between the role of non-
professional and professional worker.
TASK1
Responsibilities of the specific role of Nurses
The responsibilities of nurses is care for the patients and all individuals who are needed
health care. The nurses are responsible for the evaluating patients diagnosing and needs of the
patient illness. They play a vital role as an integral part of the comprehensive standards of health
care promotion. There are various responsibilities of nurses as a specific role in health and social
care are consider as below:
They provide hands on care to patients by managing medications, observing or
monitoring the conditions of the patients, administrating intravenous lines as well as
communicate with doctors and keep records of all patients.
On the far side the physical support or care are given, registered nurses gives emotional
support to the family of patients and sick person also (McLaughlin, 2016). Moreover,
they also suggest and support to patients or the generic public on disease administration.
They develop their proper medical conditions, diet plans and medications.
The provision of therapeutic ward that is psychologically conductive, socially, physically
and the nurse must ensure that the unit, hospital as well as ward is adequately covered
with nursing staff of applicable speciality and care. And they should convey the quality
nursing care to patients.
They record medical symptoms or history, collaborate with team to plan for the care of
patients, manage treatments and medications. Furthermore operate medical equipment,
perform diagnostic tests, educate patients about the illness, gives support or advice to
patients.
