“HUBBLE SUPERBUBBLE”
Hubble allows to take picture of stars, planets and galaxies which are trillions of mile away
(Leckrone, 2020). As per the article, in space it is a large telescope which was ,launched in the
year of 1990 and it is in the shape of school bus. Hubble telescope has played a major role in the
learning of scientists in relation to the position of solar system as it helps in observing the planets
and comets (The best Hubble Space Telescope images of all time!). In addition to this, it has
unique power to observe the broad wavelength coverage in high angular optical resolution. It can
also operate in the outside of the earth's atmosphere as only few percent of the universe is seen
with the help of using conventional methods for observing.
The telescope was name after the great scientist Edward Hubble and he was also an
astronomer who studies about the stars, space and the planets (What Is the Hubble Space
Telescope?). And it has been operating for around thirty one years and it was launched in the low
earth orbit. It is also seen that Hubble is the only telescope which is designed to be maintained in
space by astronauts. It has also transmitted around 140 gigabytes of science data every week
back to Earth. The images took from Hubble has supported the scientists in order to estimate
the size of the universe and its age (Dick, 2020). Along with it, it has also helped in
understanding the atmospheres of the planet.
On the other hand, the one of the main issue with the Hubble telescope that is
suffered from spherical aberration which is a contradict for its position . And it lead to the
dissent that took place due to various malfunction in the device itself. All the areas of the mirrors
are not focussed on the same point that is why, Hubble is not able to capture the best quality
image.
In addition to this, telescope is also facing some issues which are related to the
synchronisation with its internal components. It has also faced some issued related to glitches
which the experts of NASA are trying to solve. The telescope suddenly shut down which seem to
be the fault of the aging memory and now the experts are trying to fix the issue (Fong and et.al.,
2020). They are planning to have a device in the name of Power Control Unit which will be
responsible for reducing the chances of the risk. Such risk can bring chances for the opponents in
order to replace it in future.
