It is essential to assess human development theories through an analysis of the life of the
Superman character. The nature vs. nurture is one theory of social development is concerned
with what actually causes a human being to develop. On one side nativists see growth as an
occurrence which can arise from innate factors such as genetic inheritance. On the other side,
empiricists view development as an aspect which comes up from experience and learning. This
view of human nature can be linked to the character of Superman who was seen as a superhero
and savior of human beings since he possessed unique powers which helped him combat evil in
the society.Another primary belief is that of biological determinism which forms an essential
belief in the modern society
.It justifies repressive social practices through the maintaining of the fact that the nature
of people actually is their own worst enemy. It maintains the fact that aggression is innate and
also supports the fact that a rigid social control will lead to greater happiness in the majority of
citizens. Socio-cognitive development theories reveal the fact children begin to learn from an
early age and pick up various traits which they can follow as they grow up. Superman falls from
the sky, and he is the last remaining child in the planet Krypton, and he is sent to the planet earth
to save it from destruction. His biological parents have selected the ground for him because they
feel that his uniqueness will help to differentiate him from the earth's inhabitants and also protect
him from any potential harm.
The sun from the earth give him more power and also make him invincible, The
development of Clark Kent is very rapid, and he is faster and stronger than everyone else.
Superman is the product of two sets of parents and especially so because his parents on earth
