Discussion on communication affecting diversity management in the workplace
It has been identified that almost clarity and openness are two significant areas in
communication that management of the organization must have to consider when enhancing
communication as the way of developing diversity in the workplace. Almost 34% of the

employees of the organization prefer communication to be enhanced for managing diversity
in the workplace. In addition the model value of first factor given above is 5, which is
indicates that most of the people strongly agree to the fact that clarity and openness, both are
required element in when considering communication as the way of managing diversity. The
mean value of the factor communication 3, which indicates the neutrality of the respondents
about the role of openness and clarity in communication. However, as the mode value is 5,
hence, openness and clarity both in communication will be considered.
On the other side, it has also been learnt that communication has a growing impact on
organization, so this factor has a strong impact on diversity management because the mode
value in the statistical analysis is 5 which indicates that organization most of the people
strongly agree to the fact, while the median is 5 meaning that responses are more of an equal
balance. However, as the mode value is indicating 5, role of communication as the potential
factor in diversity has been considered. Moreover, in the literature review it was also found
that a significant communication gap which exists in organizations which make it a bit hard
to address the employees’ interests when coming up with organizational development plans.
It’s normally hard for the organizations’ leaders to address all the internal workplace issues
which face the employees since there exists a significant gap of communication between the
leaders of the organizations and the employees (Knol, Janssen and Sol, 2014). So,
communication is a significant factor that can drive diversity in the workplace.
