INTRODUCTION
The human resource management is the strategic approach so that the managers are able
to manage people effectively and efficiently. It is very important for the organisation to manage
their employees so that the company can have a smooth functioning of its operational activities.
The human resource management is related to the performance of the employees within the
workplace (Stewart and Brown, 2019). The human resource management is the continuous
process where the manager need to take care of the various training and development of the
employees in order to motivate them. The organisation which is taken into consideration for this
report is Asos which is the British online fashion and cosmetic retailer. The organisation was
founded in 2000 in London. The company targetted the young adults where the we4bsite se4lls
the 850 brands over the online platform. This report will include various topics such as
development of strategies and use of various techniques which can enhance employee
involvement. Various communication approaches and at last a business proposal plan of the
training and development which is required for the manager and as well as employee.

maintain the different strategies which will enhance in the employee involvement and employee
engagement which are discussed below in context of the Asos company:
Communicate deliberately and regularly- This is the most important strategy which
can help the organisation in engaging the emplpyee4s. There is the situation where the
staff members might be disconnected with the other team members (Armstrong and
Taylor, 2020). The human resource management need to to be aware that the employees
are connected with each other. The communication plays the vital role in the engagement
of the employees.

Invest in well being- This is related to keeping the healthy workplace for the employees
is the another strategy which can keep the employees engaged within the organisation
and its activities. This means that the managers need to look for the healthy and well
being of the employees that they feel they are been appreciated and the emplp0yees are
happy with the work environment. The human resource management is responsible for
investing in the well being of the employees within the organisation.
Invite feedbacks and act upon it- this is the another strategy where the manager can
focus on taking the regular feedback from the employees which will enhance in the
employee engagement,.this is the important for the human resource management to make
feel that the employees are been trained well and the efforts which are been made are
appreciated (Banfield, Kay and Royles, 2018). The feedback helps in bringing the change
in the work environment which enhances the involvement of the workforce.
It is suggested that the Asos organisation can focus on adopting the investing in the well
being of the employees which is the most useful strategy for the organisation in order to involve
the employees within the organisational activities. This is the most appropriate strategy because
the healthy environment influences the employees in giving their bes at the workplace. This is
the most appropriate and the culture of the organisation matter a lot to engage employees.
Advantages Increase productivity: It is been analysed that the employees need to appreciated and
give the proper time to understand. The human resource management main is to invest in
the well being of the employees which will enhance in the increase in the productivity of
the individual within the organisational goals.
Decrease stress: This is related to the decreasing the negative behaviour of the
employees within the organisation (Järlström, Saru and Vanhala, 2018). At times in
happens that there is the confusion between team members which lead to the stress for
the employees. The management need to focus on the various aspect which can decrease
the work pressure and the stress of the employees.
Disadvantages Wastage of Time: The well being of the employees at times is time consuming where the
management need to take care of the employees on the individual basis.

helps the employees to know about the organisations goals and objectives so that the
employees can perform the task.
Participative- This is the another strategy which focus on the participation of the
employees in the various decision making of the business organisation. This helps to
motivate employees and increases the morale of the and involves the employees in the
activities.
Supportive- This is the another strategy which focus on the giving the support to the
employees so that they feel motivated (Forsten-Astikainen, Hurmelinna-Laukkanen and
Hyrkäs, 2017). This is the strategy which can be used by the managers in order to
increase the engagement of the employees.
Achievement oriented- This is the another strategy which enhancing in the employee
engagement where the manager can motivate the employees by giving them the higher
targets which will enhance in the involvement of the employees in the business

involvement of the employees. Such factors include the working conditions, company
policies, relationships etc. this is important for the management to maintain in order to
keep employees engaged.
Motivational factors- These are the secondary factors which are equally important for
the employee engagement (Randev and Jha, 2019). This includes the salary, achievement,
growth and responsibility. This is important for the management in order to keep their
employees motivated
It is suggested that the Asos company can make use of the path goal theory in order to
keep its employees engagement. This is the most important for the management to take care of
the various aspect in order to motivate its employees. This will help the organisation to enhance
in the productivity of the employees and this will increase in the profitability of the company.

communication within the organisation play important role in the functioning of the various
activities (Nassar, 2018). In context of the Asosd the manager need to provide the complete
freedom to their employees so that they can focus on giving the right ideas for improving in the
organisation and management. This helps the company to get a fair image of the environment

every organisation to analyse the best best training approach that meets with their certain
situations and needs. In context of ASOS, different type of training and development that its HR
managers may used for their managers and employees in their proposal plan are described below:
On the job training- This type of training is provided to employees from the day of
starting of their job. This will make employees to read manuals, continuous observe others, read
their job description as well as ask question in order to understand their roles and responsibilities
in the organisation in the organisation in appropriate manner (Beaven, 2019). If the HR
management of ASOS uses this approach for providing training and development to their
employees they need to provide them on their starting day of job in order to make them

solve particular issues as well as learn various skills in order to perform their duty in appropriate

Team collaboration- In this approach, company divided employees in different team in
order to perform a particular task which helps in developing collaboration while working in a
team (Lanciotti and Lluch, 2018). This will helps managers and employees to perform their task
with their team members effectively in order to provide effective output while performing with
their team members. In order to make team collaboration among the employees the HR
management of ASOS used Bruce Tuckman's theory which describes how a team move in
different stages which includes forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning in order
to perform better in the organisation.
Benchmarking-
The HR management of ASOS uses Role playing approach for providing training and
development to their employees and managers in order to helps them to develop various skills as
well as make them engaged with the organisation in most effective manner. While comparing
their training and development strategies with its benchmark company which is Virgin Media
they are need to analyse more strategies in order to make their employees more productive in
order to perform effectively in the organisation. In Virgin Media, its HR management use High
flying management approaches in order to make long term engagement in among their
employees. The company also uses employee voice approach and strategy in which they allow
their employees to ask from their managers about the information or any other thing which is
need them in order to perform their task in appropriate manner. In ASOS, its HR managers is
also uses various strategy which helps its employees to perform their task in most efficacious
manner.
