INTRODUCTIONHRM plays an important role in the success of organisation and its development. Recruitment, selection, performances appraisal, etc.elements consist very important role that determines by the HR to enhance their businessactivities (Geppert, Matten and Williams, 2016). In this context, present report is based on Rent-A-Car business as per the given scenario which provides car on rent to tourists. They haveseveral kinds of functions and operations through they will easily deliver their objectives andgoals in new areas of the market. For gaining insight knowledge of the company, present reportwill cover functions and purposes of its HRM. Furthermore, strengths and weaknesses ofdifferent approaches of recruitment and selection in this firm will be discussed. Moreover, itprovides effective results to ascertain employment legislations that are important and carry fordecision making. TASK 1P1. Purposes and functions of HRMIn Rent-A-Car, there are different purposes and functions has been carry that assists tomake creative results at workplace. There are different kinds of goals also carry such as longterm short term, etc. hence, following are different functions carried by the business to makeeffective functioning in the business unit (Shaw, Park and Kim, 2013). Recruitment and selection: In this function, the chosen organisation has advantages torecruit and select new candidates at workplace. With this regard, qualified candidates will bedevelops at workplace that assists to meet with positive results of Rent-A-Car. In the selectionstrategies, right member at right post will be determines that make effective functioning atworkplace. Orientation: In the orientation program, new employees will be selected at workplacewhich taking fundamental step to accomplish goals and objectives.
