Executive Summary
The objective of this report is to understand the case study of a popular airline organization
called Ryan Air. In spite of having several advantages in human resources, a few issues
related to people management and HRM has been identified in the organization. The

betterment of the organization and also to ensure that every staff is highly satisfied with his or

1. Introduction
Human resource management or HRM could be referred to as the procedure of
recruitment, selection, induction of staff, providing proper orientations, impartment of
training as well as development, appraising overall performances of the staff, providing
motivation and many more to maintain a better relationship with them. HRM is majorly
involved with procurement, maintenance as well as the development of the human resources
(Noe et al. 2017). As a result, it is instrumental in achieving different objectives related to
social, organizational and individual aspects. Moreover, team collaboration and coordination
are also included in this department and ensuring better effectiveness and efficiency in the
respective organization. It is eventually designed for increasing performance of staff within
the services of different strategy based goals of the company (Mondy and Martocchio 2016).
Ryan Air is a popular and significant budget airline organization that was founded in
the year 1984 and had headquarters in Swords, Dublin. Ireland. More than 18000 employees
are working in this particular organization presently, and the net income in the year of 2018
was around 1.145 billion euros. The organization have always concentrated over the most
unique strategies as well as ideas for ensuring that better efficacy is easily and promptly
gained without much complexity (Ryanair.com. 2019). The following report outlines a brief
analysis of the significant case scenario for managing people in Ryan Air with suitable
recommendations, after analysing the internal and external environment of the company.
