Part A
1. Event Management can be described as the application of the project management to the
creation and the development of different kinds of large scale events. The following process
involves the studying of the brand, identification of the target audience, selection and
formulation of the event concept, planning the logistics and lastly coordination of the
different kinds of the technical aspects involved in the event before its launch.
The event management consists of a number of important job roles that contributes in
a proper manner to ensure the success of the total event in a proper and phased manner. The
combined effort of the total team comprising of different event management experts ensures
the success of the event. Some of the main people associated in an event management are as
follows;
a. Event Manager
b. Event Assistant
c. Event Coordinator
2. The tasks of each of the selected event management experts are as follows;
a. Event Manager- The event manager is said to be the main person who has the
control over the total event. The main tasks of the event manager are as follows;
 To develop the proper concepts of the event
 Create different kinds of the plans and documentations
 Create a proper budget for the different events
 Duty of finding the event contractors
 Duty of finding staff
 Duty of finding volunteers for the event

 Booking the venue Tasked with the promotion and marketing of the event and ensure the compliance
of the WHS policies in the event undertaken.
b. Event Assistant- The event assistant tasks are as follows;
 He helps the event manager to plan and promote the event
 He also needs to support the success of the event in a proper and efficient manner
 The event assistant can process the bookings of the event
 Issue the documentation of the event
 Monitor the entry and calculate the guests
 Research and obtain the necessary props
 Stage the event in a proper and successful manner.
c. Event Coordinator- The event coordinators task are as follows;
 Tasked with the smooth running and coordination of the event
 Manage the meetings
 Build proper and effective client relationships,
 Create plans and documents for the upcoming event
 Manage suppliers and vendors.
 Event coordinator can also supervise the event staff and
 Manage the bookings of the event
 Ensure the proper financial management of the business.
3. a.
 Event Manager- The event manager must have a thorough market knowledge and
experience in managing events for at least 2 years. Apart from this the manager must
also have a good experience of assisting in the following field for at least 3 years. The
manager must also be active and sound in managing a selected team for the event.

 Event Assistant- The event assistant must have a minimum experience of assisting
managers in different events for a period of 3 years and must have a proper accuracy
in work. The basic criterion for the assistant event manager is to ensure the flow of
smooth business operations which can be helpful for the success of the event. Apart
from this the event assistant manager must have a sound communication skill.
 Event Coordinator- The event coordinator must have a very good and proper
communication skill that is highly important for the success of the event management.
The coordinator must have the skill to control the total team and build the bridge in
between the event team and the managers to ensure the smooth flow of operations and
the success of the event.
3. b. Each of the key aspects and outcomes are managed and accessed in a proper and
effective manner accordingly. The key aspects of event management followed or present in
each of the tasks to be performed in the following business are monitoring the event and
addressing the issues of the event promptly. The procedures must be followed and the costs
must be minimised for the event. Apart from this the event must be managed in such a
manner that the productivity remains at all-time high.

a. The staff and the members of the team will be engaged in a proper and effective
communication chain that will be helping the staff to gain the perfect idea on the event
management plans and procedures, the date, venue, the programs and the other different
things selected for the same accordingly.
b. The review process will ensure the participation of the different people including all the
aforementioned event management team members.
c. The review process will be administered by the management of the business especially the
business stakeholders.
e. The training and effective development will lead to the success of the event management as
because the training process will help administer and address different kinds of the business
problems in a proper and effective manner.

f. The event will be managed in an ethical manner and a grievance redressal cell will be in
line which will allow the participants to register their complaints unanimously.
g. The problem solving techniques will be ensured with the help of the proper management of
the event. The first step will involve the identification of the problems, the proper monitoring
of the problems and addressing their severity. The second step will include providing the
necessary arrangements for the success of the event.
h. The recognition and rewarding of the different event needs, problems and other
perspectives will ensure the success of the event a team of managers gain a successful and
make the event a proper and organized event
i. The performance is disagreed at the time of unawareness among the team of the project.
The disagreements and the agreement both are accepted and addressed accordingly by the
event management team.
j. The documentation and the record keeping will involve the success of the event and will
ensure the promotion of the event.
