Introduction
This report presents the case study analysis of “Green Propulsion–Is Small Beautiful?
Accordingly, it has been observed from the given case that Green Propulsion is a small
company that is concerned with the advancement and development in the field of green
technology particularly in relation to hybrid vehicles. The company is ascertained to have
been founded by three entrepreneurs at Liege University in 1990. Accordingly Yves
Toussaint, Nicolas Naniot and Bernard Loly are observed to be the three founding members
of Green Propulsion Company. Each of these founders is further identified to have specific
expertise and experiences. Notably, the CEO of the company–Yves Toussaint has substantial
experience as electro-mechanical engineering while Nicolas Naniot who is a project manager
in the company is an experience in electro-mechanic engineer and has developed expertise in
energetic management of the hybrid vehicle and digital communication. Similarly, Bernard
Loly, is observed to have graduated in automation and has also developed substantial
expertise in areas related to mechanics, electricity and electronics.
Notwithstanding, the careful analysis of the case postulated that the there are several
problems associated with the company. In this regard, one of the major problem or issue that
has been identified to have considerable impact on the current and future performance of
Green Propulsion is identified to be related with its organisation structure. Correspondingly,
there is a greater need to develop new organisation structure in order to ensure greater
success and smooth functioning of the company. Against this backdrop, this report presents
the development of a new organisation structure for Green Propulsion using suitable models
and theories like drill down approach and organization diagnostic.
