INTRODUCTION
 Human resource is defined as the procedure which involves hiring and
selecting employees along with providing them induction, orientation,
training and development.
 In return of good performance workers are rewarded with bonus and
benefits, deciding these aspects is also under the supervision of human
resource.

Role of Human resource management
 To analyze the employee's needs
 Monitoring employee's performance
 Evaluation of training needs

Human resource plan based on supply and
demand of resources
 The strategies introduced by them should provide a competitive advantage
to Marriott. Steps that involves in HR planning are discussed below:
 Assessing the human resource

Assessing the human resource
 In case of Marriott hotel, HR manager is responsible to incorporate HRM
practice which improves the business related operations.
 A classification for Marriott hotel starts from the identification of working
environment.
 Analysis adopted by Marriott to acknowledge external and internal factors
are PESTLE and SWOT respectively.

Forecasting of demand
 Taking care of demands and needs of customers is under the responsibility
of HR manager in Marriott hotel.
 They incorporate activities which helps them in improving their service
given to the guests. By this, the clients base for Marriott will enhance and
they will generate more revenue.

Forecasting of supply
 It is a main aspect while managing the affairs of a company. This will help
Marriott hotel in identifying former as well as later resources needed by
them.
 Intrinsic resources involves job rotation, benefits and promotion while the
extrinsic resources includes recruiting and training workers.

MATCHING THE DEMAND AND SUPPLY
 It is an important aspect as it is related with the matched supply and
demand of resources which creates a balanced situation for Marriott.
 It helps the Hotel management in identifying if they have needed resources
or not.

Action plan
 This is considered as the last step while formulating a HR planning.
 Here the HR manager of Marriott will identify the shortage or excess of
required resources.
 If some resources are missed or vacancy is there, new resources and
working staff is hired and vice-versa.

State of employment relations in Marriott hotels
 These are discussed as below:
 They will conduct several operation and activities after involving entire
staff into it.
 While making important decisions point of view given by staff members is
given preference. If all the decisions are taken without considering their
point of view their satisfaction level toward firm will decrease and they
will not be able to deliver their best performance.

Employees working in hotel are divided into teams and carry out their work in
accordance with that. In present times, workers are proactive and conducts
strikes and boycotts if their requirement is not given proper care.
Due to increase competitive advantage, worker in Marriott hotel compete
against each other for influential posts like senior manager, manager and
leader.

Affect of Employment law in Human resource
management
 Several laws implemented by HR department in Marriott hotel are as
follow:
 Anti discrimination law
 National Minimum wages act, 1998
 Equality act
 Equal opportunities act

CONCLUSION
 Management of human resource involves the efforts taken by the senior
officials to deal appropriately with staff members within an organisation.
 For this every firm has a separate department which take cares of
resources like employees and related aspects.
