INTRODUCTION
HRM is a premeditated approach that is used by HR management of organization for
operating different functions with its subordinate. This is related to managing all aspects that is
connected to recruitment, selection, providing training remuneration and many more. All activity
and function connected to HR focuses on enhancing motivation of staff member that is related to
role as well as responsibility. The Sainsbury is determined as a chain of Supermarket that is
situated in UK. It was founded in year of 1869 and will become largest retailing organization in
1922. This report is based on increasing understanding regarding function that is connected to
HRM its strength and also weakness that is connected to recruitment and selection. The benefits
that are connect to HRM for both employer as well as employees (Black, 2016).

Background of company
The Sainsbury is determined as a chain of Supermarket that is situated in UK. It was
founded in year of 1869 and will become largest retailing organization in 1922. The company
has 1500 outlet that is situated at international level. The company offer products by adopting
hypermarket, supermarket and so on. In relevance of 2019, the income of company is increased
29.007 and success and growth of subordinate is more than one 116400.
Purpose of HRM the aim or objective of HR management is to accomplish objective in
pre-decided period of time. In assistance of this, the primary purpose is to maintain appropriate
relationship between subordinate in order to perform different work without any issue (Poku,
2017). Moreover, it is significant for HR manager to provide positive environment to employees
as it helps in influencing them to execute work with full potential and focuses on accomplishing
objective. In reference of selected organization, the manager make ensure that their staff member
feel safe and use healthy culture during particular period of time. The HR professional make
ensure that the law which is followed and compensation provided to employees in appropriate
manner. In addition to this, the company is able to organize functions in systematic manner.
Scope of HRM it is connected to HRM and it is broad in nature as well as it involves
various kinds of activities that is important for company. Their main purpose is to offer training,

recruitment as well as selection and many more. In assistance of this, it offers extra services to its
staff member like recreation services, restroom and so on.
Function of HRMHRM is significant for every organization as it helps in enhancing
productivity of company in proper way. There are various types of function which is
implemented by HR manager that is mentioned beneath:
Maintaining employee relation is considered as a primal element that is implemented
by HR manager of organization. It is determined as the HR manager focuses on handling good
relation with staff member for retaining them or sustaining them for a longer time period. In
context of selected company, they implement function by focusing on resolving various types of
issues and provide appropriate information during the period of time (De Chesnay and Anderson,
2019).
Reward system is important for organization to provide incentive to staff member as per
performance and it offer motivation in order to execute work and accomplish target in pre-
decided period of time. In reference of selected company, they provide advantages to its staff
member according performance level and also offer motivation to staff member for
accomplishing objective of company.

Recruitment is the process that is used for several talents by providing invitation to large
number of applicants. There are different sources that are connected to recruitment given
beneath:
Internal source is determined as a process in which organization emphasized on filling
job vacancy by using different methods like promotion, employee referral which help in filling
available vacancy by adopting internal recruitment and ensure that process of perform work in
quick manner. It helps in saving time and efforts related to training (Gilot, 2016).
