INTRODUCTION
Human resource assistant is a candidate who work in collaborative manner with the HR
managers of the firm in order to manage the actions related to human resource that are highly
required o become fulfilled for the betterment of the firm. They are responsible to take care of
certain activities such as recruitment, selecting, training as well as overall development of the
employees who are working within the office premises. This report will illustrate the knowledge,
skills and abilities required in particular job role along with certain recommendations.
MAIN BODY
According to the website that has been provided i.e. Onet website, for the evaluation of
Human Resource assistant role, it has been identified that there are 5 knowledge based skills that
are extremely important and required by an organization. But apart from that knowledge
abilities, as per my point of view, I also want to recommend one more knowledge based ability
i.e. Proactivity. This knowledge based ability is considered more of a personality trait rather
than a skill. Although it is certainly something that can be developed or generated over some
time frame. This recommendation is extremely important to add on within the requirements of
the job role related to the HR Assistant. It has been evaluated that proactive HRM practices are
always welcomed or preferred rather than reactive HRM actions (Neves, Almeida and Velez,
2018). In order to become a proactive Human resource for the firm, the candidate must be
primarily aware or informed about the current as well as emerging trends not only related to the
HR issues but also about the latest technology as well as work culture that will help the
establishment in their further improvement in all senses (Vrchota & et.al., 2019). Thus, the
reason for choosing this particular knowledge point that it should be added within the job role
description is that the candidate will easily able to plan and align the core tasks related to HR
management. Another reason behind choosing is that the candidate must be effectively able to
take decisions within timely manner if they are well aware about the potential risks in advance
manner.
In context of skills there are various skills that has been described within the website
which are required within a candidate. But apart from all those skills, as per my perspective, it
has been evaluated that confidentiality skills are also most important and necessary skills that are
highly required within the candidate who are applying for the job role of HR assistant (Barnes &
Adam, 2018). The candidates that applied for HR assistant post should be aware about the

importance of maintaining confidentiality of personal information of employees as well as
stakeholders. The reason behind choosing this particular skill is that it is extremely important for
the betterment of the brand value of the firm to show common ground courtesy by protecting
the data of employees and other stakeholders. Another reason for selecting this skill is that the
confidentiality is also highly able to fulfil legal responsibilities of HR people towards the
enterprise as prevention of personal and sensitive information is the foremost responsibility of
any firm on legal grounds as well.
In terms of Abilities that are highly required for the fulfilment of the job role of HR
assistant, there are various potential qualities requirements described as per the website. But
apart from all those abilities, I have analysed that involvement of Analytical abilities, helps to
enhance the role of HR professionals performed in the role of human resource assistant.
Analytical abilities is a data driven approach to manage the work done by the workforce within
the workplace premises (Sohrabi, Vanani & Abedin, 2018). It helps to resolve issues by
analysing critical questions and effectively provide certain solutions to them. This helps to make
the decision-making abilities in better context. The reason behind selecting this particular ability
is that it enables the candidate to monitor the performance level of employees within the office
premises and in their job role for which they have been hired by the firm. Another reason
behind choosing this ability is that it helps to make their employees highly engaged within the
tasks that are given to them in order to complete the assignments and reduce the level of
turnover. It also enables the candidate to build more productive environment for their employees
as without analytical abilities, the HR candidate also become at risk of missing latest and
important trends that needs to be fulfilled by them completely.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that there are various and individual skills,
abilities and knowledge grounds that are required for numerous job roles. Te above report had
describes the requirements apart from the skills, abilities and knowledge perspective that are
given in the given website along with suggestions for choosing them for that particular job role
i.e. HR Assistant. Thus, it has been analysed that knowledge, skills and abilities are highly
necessary for HR practitioners as proper management allows them in order to find out and access
