Article 4 – Freedom from slavery
Jenny has been living at our place since birth. Her mother has been working at our house as a
maid. After her death, we have treated Jenny with care and love and helped her to study and
exceed in life. We have not violated her right with slavery.
Article 5 – Freedom from cruel and inhuman treatment
We treat out house maid with respect and fair wage for her daily routine of work. We do not
break or initiate to violate her basic human rights with degrading, inhuman and torture
treatments.
Article 19 – Freedom of expression and opinion
A new boy joined our university with different perspective over social values and norms. He
keeps on arguing and debating over the classes and also during the lecture sessions. Some of the
students gets annoyed. My friends and I do not judge him with his freedom of different
expression and opinion.
Article 16 – Freedom to consent marriages
John and Emily had been married just for some months and Emily filed a divorce already. It has
been found in the court room that Emily was being forced to get married to John by her parents
since they did not accepted her boyfriend who belonged from other religion. Emily’s parents
have violated Emily’s human right from Article 16(1,2)

I have been working at a retail marketing store as a store assistant for the last 3 months in the
city. Apart from one week off, the store manager does not allow me to take additional emergency
or sick leaves and even forces me to work at my day offs. I do not get additional payments but
every day I have been doing over time as per my schedules shift hours. My store manager is
violating my right to rest, Article 24

My brother is at the kindergarten. Johan is his very dear friend. Johan’s mother is a single mother
and he has been born out of wedlock, while his father left them during his birth. This news has
made most of the parents skeptical and they avoid Johan and his mother in school gathering. The
principal of the school has also requested Johan’s mother to look for some other institution for
saving the reputation of his school. The principal of the school and the parents of the other
children’s are violating Johan’s right and Article 25(2).
