INTRODUCTION
In society, gender roles tends to how any individual should speak, act, groom, dress and
should perform activity based on assigned sex. It can be understand by observing that women
and girls are normally expected to dress in feminine way. They should behave to be polite,
nurturing and accommodating. Human is historically dividing in between two gender where each
have their own role as per different remeasurement and their abilities and beliefs. These two
gender is masculine and feminine. In today's modern society there are three genders masculine,
feminine and androgyny have their role which are known by gender roles. Masculine and
feminine are associated with their certain roles which includes different and particular type of
activities. Gender roles are divided within different type of personality traits, interests, manner
and behaviour which is based on the individual gender masculine, feminine and androgyny.
Gender roles refers to genetics products along with environmental influences. Gender
development is associated with expectations where masculine, feminine and androgyny have
their some personal behaviour. There are various chosen disciplines which includes social
sciences discipline, applied science discipline and diversity frameworks. This report also consist
reflection which provides the information about changes in perspective to see the world. Gender
roles depends on the biological and physical features which helps to decide the role of gender to
perform various activities (Sbaffi & Rowley, 2017).
MAIN BODY
Social sciences discipline
In sociology, gender role are basically defined as the distinction between gender and sex.
Both of these terms seems similar and interchangeable. They are generally used in place of each
other. Sex is defined as the physical differences within people who are male or female. This is
based on physiological characteristics which includes chromosome and genitalia composition.
Male have the both X and Y chromosome whereas female have only X chromosome. Whereas,
gender defined as the person identity and is broad spectrum. It is also defined as socially
constructed roles which is constructed through the society and are appropriate for men and
women. Society involves sex more than gender and allows to work effectively and demonstrate
the work accordingly. There is prospective of society to perform various category of work which
is distributed as per gender roles like for male and female. There are various activities includes

cooking, working, sportsperson, washing, labour, driving and many more. These are previously
divided on the basis of gender role male and female which is getting chances in this modern era.
There are many gender based activities are performed through other gender which implies to
challenges those gender roles (Danbold & Huo, 2017). This refers to the perspective of different
work division that can help to assign work accordingly. This can be effective and allow to
provide various assessment through the anthropology where research pulling from physical
anthropology which is study about the human genetics and their evolution. This also includes the
psychology of individual which is associated with the individual gender roles which provides the
difference that can related with different aspect to assign work and complete with better effect.
This can also be effective where society have the prospective to assign work according to gender
which includes the gender roles for particular work or assignments (Nylund & et. al., 2017).
Androgyny is defined as the combination of feminine and masculine characteristics
within ambiguous form. This can be expressed as gender identity, biological sex or gender
expression. Androgyny has provided the way to express themselves freely about their identity
through cloths user fit that should be. This help to wear whatever that feel comfortable and there
should not be anything which can create issues.
There is high impact of religion on gender role where it emphasize cooperation along
with respect for women. Some religion prioritise male leadership where to show the ethical
identification they indirectly includes women to practice own agency. Through this religion
impact the gender role through prioritising masculine and feminine either both or either
masculine. There are many religion who does not promote androgyny and in some religion
androgyny is not accepted and people with androgyny are not accepted and face hatred.
Applied science discipline
Applied science refers to a scientific methods which implies knowledge that are obtained
via conclusions form methods to obtain through practical goal. This includes broad range of
discipline engineering along with medicine. This can be contrasted with basic science that have
the focus in using of advanced scientific theories along with laws which can predict and explain
any event in natural world. There is a perspective which is based on the gender roles where
women have less participation in field of science, engineering, mathematics and technology.
Previously, there were very less number of women who were included in these scientific and
engineering fields. This had the perspective which allows to focus on the delivery of getting

various impact on the career. It is supported by the empirical evidence which suggests
significantly gender difference which have high productivity in field of technology and other
scientific terms. There is impact that there are about many difference for getting improving this
perspective where contribution of women has been improved with modern era. There is the
perspective of scientific which is already proved through the science that men have more ability
to understand the scientific terms (Hynes & Hynes 2018). Men are more tends to understand the
scientific terms and mathematics which are likely than women. There is the gender roles with
different prospective which allows to get better and effective information which can interpreted
through men instead of women. There is the prospective that there is different capabilities of
different gender where male are more able to perform various activity including mathematics,
engineering and technology. This can be effective and allows to get better understanding about
different effort which are improving and reducing the previous perception which is about
understanding and participating in the technology, mathematics, engineering and scientific terms.
This perspective is different form the other discipline where gender role are tends to play a major
role in delivering of different various scientific, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Diversity framework
There are various culture which impact the individual and the perspective of gender role
in which different culture have different perspective regarding different area. This is one of the
main perspective when individual is able to impact the culture which is associated and varies
with different culture (ALMASKARI & et. al., 2021). There are various perspective of gender
role in different culture which is associated with different framework to perform various activity
in order to perform by masculine, feminine and Androgyny. Here, androgyny are known by
biological sex where through this individual is able to show their identity without any hesitation
and allow to wear whatever they want. There are various cultural roles in which masculine are
asked to play outside the house and to be more tough. Whereas, feminine are tends to play with
dolls and perform various household activities which is perception of this culture. Difference in
colour is also perspective which implies diversity as the rule where masculine like to attract
towards blue colour and feminine should like pink colour. There is also perspective that
masculine like to perform various activity which is associated with strength where feminine are
not allowed to perform those. There is perspective in other culture that are not evolved currently
where providing education to feminine are not allowed and masculine should only get education

at certain level which shows the gender role in the diversity. In different culture masculine and
feminine are treated equally which implies to provide better opportunity for getting better
relationship with both gender. But in some culture where masculine are treated superior and
feminine are lower, in such case, there is variation in between gender role and should improve
the difference (Sciegaj 2017).
Similarity or difference of masculine, feminine and Androgyny in United States and Nigeria
In United States, people and government both accept the values of masculine, feminine
and androgyny. They respect each values equally and does not discriminate with any other
values. This is effective and help to provide better understanding about the all culture. In Nigeria,
there is more respect to value of masculine rather than feminine and they have not accepted the
androgyny which makes difficult for biological sex to expressed themselves. Nigeria and not still
accepted Androgyny which creates difficulty to get over through the values and accept every
gender.
Stereotype of gender role in United States and Nigeria
It is said that there is no any stereotype of gender role in United States but when observed
it can be observed that there is little bit discrimination within male and female along with
androgyny. Here, masculine are given high preferences rather than feminine and androgyny.
Some people still discriminate with androgyny culture people. Like this there is also stereotype
within Nigeria about the gender role, masculine are tends to hard-work where feminine are tends
to work within home.
REFLECTION
I also understood the way the information is to be applied for practical application.
In the present report I have acquired communication and researching skills that has helped me in
the process of having proper knowledge & information base. While working in the report, there
is self improvement that has helped me in the process of understanding different perspectives
associated with social sciences. While working in the report i understood the importance of
social sciences discipline. The way societal perceptive have evolved with time is important to be
understood in order to analyse it from the perspective of present report. There is need to evaluate
the way society is evolving in the changing scenario as compared to earlier times. In this context
i also developed a detailed overview of the applied sciences can be used as a perspective of

applying scientific knowledge in order to develop its practical applications. The present report
has changed my thinking aspects with respect to various important phenomenon that is taking
place in the society. Social science is basically examine the overall relationship taking place
between the society and individuals that is related with the way there is development of various
operations in the society.
Social sciences has helped me in understanding the different observation of society that
has evolved with timer and the way it has affected the present functioning of various scenarios.
This report has lead towards development of my analytical and thinking skills. These skills are
going to lead towards a more positive approach while studying it in relevance to different
associated topics. The learning process is going to lead towards a more enhanced approach to
deal with various issues and problems that may affect the future professional and individual
development (Dobusch, 2017).
CONCLUSION
From above discussion, it can concluded that there are various perspective of society
which have high impact on the individual which allows to get better and treated equally with
both gender male and female. There is discussion about the social science discipline which is
essential for gender role. Society have different perspective where many people have the
perspective to provide various perspective related with gender role where working is dividing
according to gender like household work will done by female whereas other work that is related
with outside the household will perform by male. There is also perspective related with others
who needs to perform through various aspect where many of the work are associated with
different gender and depends on the role of male and female. There is also discussion about
applied science discipline which is associated with the perspective of engineering and technology
along with mathematics. This can be effective and allows to develop various perspective based
on scientific terms.
